NEVER AGAIN

Horrifying! Let's start with the cleanliness: NON-EXISTENT! My friend and I enter the room and find ants feasting on peanuts between the two beds! I request a room change, which is done immediately. Then, the location of the rooms, which you seem to access through a garage, is totally in a wing that is a 2-minute walk inside. The lack of air conditioning in the room, as well as a fan, which would have been essential during this period. I have never seen a breakfast like this, I mean a non-breakfast; in the scrambled eggs, we find a pen (pasta), zero pastries (only rarely did they put out about twenty chocolate croissants that were gone immediately), jam in an open bowl exposed to the air, zero toasters! I could not change hotels because I was there for work with a group; otherwise, I would have left that same evening!

Good experience at Hotel Bara .

We were passing through with a group tour and we made two stops here of 1 night. The hotel looks well-kept.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of downtown Budapest. Half an hour walking distance to city center. Or easily accessible by bus.
1st Room was fairly spacious with a good bed. Room was clean.
Bathroom is somewhat outdated, with shower cubicle.
2nd room was spacious with 2 pers. and 1 pers. bed. Bed was good. Clean room.
Bathroom is somewhat outdated, with shower cubicle.
Breakfast was good and dinner was reasonable.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
Distance control for the air conditioner at reception to borrow for 20 euro deposit.
A great place for passing through or for visiting Budapest.

Dirtiest rooms ever

Hotel is run down, small dirty rooms
Bathroom moldy and stinks of wastewater
Bed linen not clean.
Extremely noisy
Staff untrained, unprofessional, extremely naughty
Underground parking like a ghost house
Never this hotel again!
Not recommended!

Good location, the rest a bit to review

The hotel has a good location, convenient to public transport. The room is not bad in size but the bed to forget, very hard, non-existent pillows!
Cleanliness is another of the things to which I have to make a negative note, not so much in the room but in the common areas was very dirty.
Breakfast is not continental, so you will find scrambled eggs, wuestels and cold cuts.
No croissants or dessert just milk and tea, in short I did not appreciate.
The price is average.
