Good location

Hotel is a good base for getting out and about in Nice. Walking distance to the beach, old town and riqueir train station which we used multiple times to travel to Cannes, Monaco and some smaller towns along the way. We were room only but the room had a fridge which was good, large shopping mall with supermarket opposite the hotel and a McDonald’s facing the hotel. We found the hotel clean, quiet and comfortable

Filthy and smelly

Absolutely rubbish place and certainly not as described in the pictures, please see the real filth on the pictures attached. I have booked a 1 bedroom with a double bed for three weeks whilst doing a course in Nice. The first room they gave me (on the first floor) had an unbearable smell and you couldn’t even breathe (this seems to be their worst room as it is mentioned in other reviews). The second room was even worse as it was a studio (not the 1bed apartment I booked) and with a dirty carpet smelling of animal and pee (see by yourself and just imagine the smell!). When I threaten them to leave and a full refund (4K plus btw for such a nasty place), they finally found a ‘clean’ room on the second floor (also after I phoned Expedia, and they also phoned/emailed them to complain on my behalf). Now, once you sort the basics, you will find that the toilet is at the entrance and separate from the rest of the flat, the air con doesn’t work, everything is old and scratched and semi damaged, cleaning is not a word they obviously understand and you just have to buy cleaning products from the local supermarket and clean it by yourself. Customer service? Appalling, they obviously know the place is falling apart, but they are rude and unhelpful. The reality is this Aparthotel needs to be closed, the management fired, and a full refurbishment to be done. Full stop. Do I suggest it? Absolutely not. Book it at your own risk and don’t say you weren’t warned.

A drastic decline in quality!

Staying at the Aparthotel Adagio Nice Centre, I wanted to give the Accor chain another chance, even though I usually choose their competition (I hold Platinum status with IHG, VIP with Radisson, and several others).
Unfortunately, this stay finally confirmed my belief that Accor’s service quality is drastically declining. I remember Adagio hotels as having a solid, good standard. What I found in Nice was a complete contradiction of that former quality.
We arrived at the hotel around 6:30 PM. We were assisted at reception by a very nice lady originally from Russia, who was visibly overwhelmed by the number of guests. Despite her best efforts, the check-in process was chaotic due to staff shortages.

We received a room on the 3rd floor. What we saw is unacceptable for a chain hotel. We were greeted by stained carpets in the hallway. The room itself was in tragic condition - tons of disgusting stains on the floor and bed, and other people's hair lying around in many places. The hygiene level resembled a seedy motel. There wasn't even a place to safely stand.
I reported this to reception. They suggested I wait until the next day for someone to check out, claiming there were no free rooms. I protested firmly, as sleeping in such conditions is beneath one's dignity. I demanded a change of hotel. Suddenly, a room on the 5th floor was found.
It is slightly better there - dirty laminate flooring instead of dirty carpets. However, it is still far from clean. The floor is still dirty in places, and there is a layer of dust on the nightstands. The balcony door is broken. Damage and wear on furniture and equipment are visible everywhere. The TV constantly disconnects from the internet, making it impossible to watch anything.
I planned to use the kitchenette, which is the main advantage of aparthotels, but the omnipresent filth in the room discouraged me so much that I didn't even touch it. It is scary to prepare food in such unhygienic conditions. I don’t even know if the equipment works, because the air conditioning certainly does not.
Resting in this hotel is impossible for several reasons. Instead of one large bed, we received two mattresses of tragic quality pushed together. There are disposable hygienic pads on the mattresses that have clearly been used many times. They rustle so loudly with every slightest movement that sleep is impossible. The room is stuffy. Soundproofing is non-existent, so you can hear literally everything happening in the hallway and adjacent rooms.
At check-in, we collided with an absurd cost-cutting policy. We were informed that housekeeping takes place only once every 8 days! If a guest wants cleaning sooner, they must pay. Even worse, changing towels or bedding also costs extra. Charging fees for a fresh towel is embarrassing and stingy.
The only plus of this property is the good location. Everything else - from cleanliness, through non-working AC and worn-out equipment, to the bizarre fees for basic services - is abysmal. The receptionist from Russia stands out positively because she really cared about the quality of the stay and was very concerned about the situation. The rating is higher solely thanks to her.
Hotel hygiene is an absolute priority for me. I cannot imagine sleeping in a place that has not been properly cleaned. I refuse to sleep in bedding that has not been changed after a previous guest. I do not want to walk on carpets full of stains and hair. I should not have to feel disgusted when touching towels, glasses, or even the sink. A hotel stay, and especially an aparthotel stay, is supposed to be comfortable and relaxing. In this case, it was neither.
If you are used to the standards offered by other chains, give this place a wide berth. It is not worth it.

Good location

We stayed here for 4 nights in the middle of June. We arrived early our room was not ready but we were able to store or luggage.
Location is very good 5 minute walk from Nice Riquer Statiom which was handy for getting to Cannes & Monaco. Also a few minute walk from Republique Tram stop which had a direct line to the old town and the beach.
Water filling station in the lobby was very handy.
Shopping centre across the road from the apartment.
We stayed in a one bed apartment, the air conditioning was as excellent. The apartment itself was a little shabby in places holes in the curtains, marks on the wall it could do with a bit of TLC. We were on the first floor and had a large balcony but there is no furniture on the balcony and it clearly states that you cannot bring furniture from apartment out. There was a hoover but no sweeping brush a sweeping brush would be handy to tidy up after yourself.
The pool on the rooftop is small but adequate there are no beds at the pool even though there would be plenty of space for them.
A €169 deposit was held on my account I was not informed about this on check in when I paid for the stay. It would be nice to be informed of this deposit.
All in all a basic slightly shabby apartment but central and cool which is perfect for a short city break in Nice.

Overall a disappointing stay. Upon arrival, our room wasn’t ready and we were told to come back in an hour, when our receptionist then tried to charge us for the room when we had prepaid. The room was fine but very basic, and had a few flickering lights. Our room was not once made up by housekeeping across the three days that we were there - and when we asked reception for fresh towels we were told they normally charge for this. The bedding was poor and kept pulling away revealing the plastic covers. The room had no iron but had an ironing board. We purposefully spent more on this accommodation compared to other options so that we could have a nicer stay, which unfortunately was not the case for us.
