The triple room was basic, clean and well maintained. There was a heater but no AC. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Shower was hot and drained onto the floor of the bathroom, but it dried up faster than expected with the bedroom window open due to the low humidity weather. There was one kind of soap for hair and body, no hair conditioner or lotion. A hair dryer can be rented with a 10 euro deposit. Overall a very pleasant stay for such a central location near the red light destrct, Chinatown, and 7 minutes walk to central station. Not noisy per se, but we found it's better to sleep with the window closed due to occasional noises.

Hygiene dirty and rude staff

1st night water came out of the shower well when you flushed the toilet (very dirty) then after showering the water just stayed in the bathroom, at least 3 cm high, when I asked if we got another room if the problem was not solved I got the answer that we could get our money back and find something else (in Amsterdam you can't find a hotel on the day itself so that was not an option) eventually the water was gone from the shower but hung paper everywhere, just as if they had only cleaned with paper (again very dirty). At the end of our weekend I thought we could still get compensation for the burden. In response, I got that it was our fault so they wouldn't do anything. Very rude staff.

The sheets and covers we're dirty. Location was great close to everything

It was terrific location for the central city. The room was large enough for all of us. The shower was a little wonky with almost zero incline so water got all over the floor. But everything else worked perfectly. Staff super helpful.

While the location is ideal for transport, The Globe needs to significantly improve its customer service, flexibility, and, most importantly, provide a secure way for guests to store their belongings. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you value basic amenities, a welcoming atmosphere, or reliable guest support.
