marvelous mid-sized hotel in Da nang, Vietnam

This is a marvelous 10 floor hotel in Da nang, Vietnam just a few minute walk from the beach. The breakfast is the best I've had in several hotels in the city. The hotel is about 1-2 years old and very clean. Rooms are comfortable and efficient and easy to relax. I was also pleasantly surprised by how quiet this hotel was, not a lot of noise like other places. The best part is the staff, even the housekeepers are warm and friendly. The two receptionists, My Duyen and Thu Phuong, are very charming, lovely and helpful. I recommend this hotel, very excellent.

Dangerous hotel and bad food

My friend isolated here for 2 weeks due to Covid-19 (She came back from aboard and need to be isolated before coming back home). She found out that there are doors that directly connect different rooms, that's right, there is a door on the wall that connect to the next room. Can you imagine how dangerous it is? My friend is a girl and her room was connected to a room with 2 men inside, right next to her. The door wasn't even locked and my friend had to push a chair to temporarily block it.
Moreover, the hotel took advantage of the Covid-19 situation and served very bad food for people who isolate in their hotel. They pushed the price up to 10 times more expensive than normal, and the guests are forced to purchase from them because they can't go out, and the main meals the hotel served were so small that everyone felt hungry.
The hotel manager even pushed back on complaining guests and blamed the guests instead of checking with her employee about the quality of the food they served

Not bad

Had a nice welcome from reception staff who were helpful throughout our stay. Good location - only 10 minute walk from beach - lots of bars / restaurants nearby. Room was clean if not a little small. Standalone shower was good. Bed was very comfortable. Had issues with the safe and fridge that were rectified with minimal fuss.
Pool / Rooftop bar was closed on our first day although open on the subsequent two days. We had it to ourselves both times we were up there. Pool was good and draught beer at the bar was very nice. No ice either time we were there though. Attendant spoke limited English but he was helpful enough.
There were a couple of things that weren't great.
Firstly, the room was very noisy - you could hear other rooms toilet flushing / showers running etc. We also had the misfortune of sharing our floor with inconsiderate fellow guests who thought nothing of holding loud conversations / slamming doors - be it at 2 in the morning when they got in or 6.30 in the morning when going out for the day.
Secondly, the breakfast was poor with the exception of the relatively fresh French sticks. There were no Western choices aside from eggs. The same plates of 'cold' meats made an appearance three days running. The Asian choices were tepid and some of them inedible.
Overall, OK for the money paid but room for improvement.

Good location to lost of the food streets and best Kimchi soup area;)

it was our first visit to Da nang where we spent 3 days which I think is more than enough to see major sightseeing and try some local food. Hotel is located in a decent street with easy access to some spas in case you want to have a relaxing massage and one of the best local restaurants that we discovered located right at the corner of the same street. the name of it is Han's BBq where girls are very welcoming. we discovered a very delicious Kim chi soup tho we are lovers of vietnamese traditional Pho Be soup. service is excellent and price as well is very affordable.
In regards to the rooms at the hotel, bit small * where I couldn't properly fit my suitcase* but this is not to worry especially for backpackers very comfy one. since we were all the time out of the room so it really didnt bother. beds tho are very nice and comfy. Bathroom lights thi were bit deemed and for me personally wasnt convenient.
for travellers, in case you wana arrange airport transfers please go ahead coach Hotel as price is much cheaper what you get at the airport counters as it seems taxis there like a gang who is trying to rip you off. we overpaid like 100k
in case you need any drive around the city or drop off to Ba Na hills check out since local guy who is located in the same street where the restaurant is on the same cross road to the left towards beach. his guys are very punctual, providing good service and charging very decent price always in time. ( do not remember his name but there is like a taxi parking with all fliers on the wall with excursions and prices)
in the hotel by the way we could not access the pool ( tried both morning and evening) may be not a season;)
Rooms are tho not sound proof and in case if you are a light sleeper get ready to keep ear plugsSpa next to hotel is a good one however remember to pay together with tips as the owner asks for price with tips for her staff but very clean place

Good stay

My wife, kids and me booked adjoint rooms with connecting door. The rooms are nice but small, interior was as good as a five star hotel with professional touch with lovely paintings. The breakfast was so so, the pool on the top is a nice addition.
