Mostly friendly stuffs like Azizbek and Husan.

Hi guys, I stayed a couple of days in Topchan hostel. Location is very good, There are market, restaurants and cafe
Servise is very good, especially Azizbek and Husan in front desk they're so friendly and helpful, rooms are so good and breakfast is Amazing and so delicious. This is my second stay here so i really recommend you guys.

Does the hostel even have a hostel?

We came here in 2022, we were excited - everything new, beautiful, clean, working. On the same emotions arrived in March 2026, moved out 2 days later.
The toilet mixer is broken, the other one is wobbling side to side. Well, he's lying there, basically. Everything's dirty, there's no mixers in the shower, no shower water, nothing. The corner in the shower is so rusty that it can be honorably retired. The mirrors are broken. The second-floor shower has a broken glass wall, it's been broken before, but no one seems to care.
Sockets fall out, scary to put your devices in. It's cold in the hotel, but it's air conditioning. By the way, before that we were in Bukhara and Samarkand - the heating was everywhere.
The height of the tin was when my husband was kicked out of the kitchen while he was just waiting for breakfast, which is included in the price. The woman working in the kitchen swore at him in Uzbek, apparently not expecting him to come from Tashkent himself and to understand everything perfectly. Very surprised when he answered her in the same language.
In 2022, the staff were friendly, cooperative in all matters. We never thought that in four years things could change like this.

Horror

It was probably a very cool hostel many years ago. Now it's a trash hole. It's worse than a highway motel. Dirty, dusty, with horrible broken bathroom facilities, broken floors, disgusting bedding. Broken and dirty everything, I'd say. I didn't want to even sit on the bed or touch any surfaces. The bathroom is so disgusting, I was only able to wash my hands. This place is also not safe for girls. There's no key, so anyone can come into the room at any time. And oh boy, do they seem to have enough of such people. Apart from a couple of young students, who clearly stay there because it's cheap, the place is infested not only with literal cockroaches , but with some shady looking men. There were two men in their 50s, absolutely drunk and wasted, listening to loud music, walking around the place. At some point we crossed paths in the kitchen and they surrounded me, saying sexually charged remarks about my body and trying to touch me. I just stood up, took my backpack and left the place. Girls, don't stay here.

couldn’t sleep

The room was okay and although you could not control the AC it turned off around 3am. The bathrooms were not the cleaniest and there is only a couple of showers for the whole hostel (without lights). However, our main issue came as night. There were people making loud noises, giggling and screaming up to day time, among these people there were some of the guys working at the hostel. We kindly ask him around 1am to lower their voices or go outside but they continued until late. We found that it was too much that the people working there are the loudest, also considering that we went on summer and temperature outside was also very good.

Lack of utilities and communication

We got informed when we checked out that the fine print started that alcohol could not be consumed while staying at the hostel. We did not find this information anywhere else, and had to pay a fine of 200 000 per person.
The room lacked power outlet and the bathroom did et hva a functioning light source.
