Great value

A welcoming hotel with a spacious room, a clean bathroom. The room also had a fridge/freezer and there was a basement communal kitchen as well. Highly recommended.

Wonderfully run by Mr, Musavvir who greeted me by name and made sure I was welcomed.
The room and private bathroom were both very clean with good water pressure in the shower and a fridge with a small freezer unit in the room.
The communal kitchen was impressive, decorated with so many antiques it should be a museum.

A house with a secret in a former Jewish mahalla.

On his way from China to Moscow, he stopped in Samarkand. Just like the last visit to Samarkand, he stayed in a private house. This time in a former Jewish mahalla (a closed synagogue a block from the Gesthouse). At first it seemed like an ordinary Uzbek house, like the house in which his father grew up in Tashkent: a large courtyard, rooms around the perimeter, in the center of the dastarkhan. The real treasure was discovered by the owner of the house - Sanjar already in the evening. After talking, we found out that we had the same historical background, and then Sanjar showed his mini museum in the basement. Glad to be returning from a tour of Southeast Asia, adding Myanmar kyats, Bangladesh takas, Nepalese rupees and Brunei dollars to his numismatic collections. Now my little bit is in this interesting museum...

We were very happy with the service of this hotel. sanjar helped us with taxi bookings. He stayed up late to welcome us and got up early to see us off. The place is charming and interesting with the collections of vintage paraphernalia. Place is east to get to most attractions. Take his advice on restaurants, we had great meals all the time. Try the samsos which are en route to the Registan and enjoy the birds in the courtyard.

Very welcoming host, speaking foreign languages and providing all the advice and valuable information. Common kitchen is nice and well equipped . Everything is clean and tidy. Rooms are large . Enjoyed my stay there.
