“Ottimo ostello - very good hostel”

Amazing hostel, very centrally located easy to get to history Praha center.
Enjoyed my stay here the place is lively and you will make friends.
Clean, nice kitchen. Room for 4 people had plenty of space and enough plugs for charging.
I would recommend this hostel to others.Very good location,but still very quiet place,I had my privacy,I slept well and the owner (very cool and friendly man) cared if I have everything I need-I'm very much satisfied.

A home away from home

This is my third time returning to Hostel Bell, only this time it is under new management. Petr (the new owner) was an excellent accomodating host, and works very hard at keeping the establishment in tip top shape. The hostel is essentially an apartment with different rooms, so you can use the kitchen and come and go as you please. There is a kettle, free tea and coffee, a free shelf, a fridge to store your food, etc. and free WiFi (it didn't work too well in my room but I spent most of my time in the kitchen chatting to other guests anyways). It's a 15-minute walk away from the main attractions and in a generally safe neighbourhood, however if you're a solo female traveller you should definitely keep your wits about you when walking around past midnight (as is the case for most major cities in Europe) Overall I would highly recommend Hostel Bell and would be happy to return again. Word of note - please be respectful of Petr's time and tell him what time you're arriving/departing as he is the only staff at the hostel!

Lovely place, friendly hostess :)

I and a friend booked to stay here for 1 night last minute, and we really weren't disappointed! We stayed in a 2 bed room which was simple and had everything we needed. The hostess was very friendly and it felt like home. Good value for money too!

Would stay here again

The hostel was really clean and in a decent location away from the noise. The manager was really friendly and the rooms were decent. It was all single bunks, with a locker underneath the bed. The kitchen is well equipped too and it is a really relaxed atmosphere

Really great location and reasonable price but issues with location of my room

I hate to give this place only 4/5 stars. The owner was really nice and it felt like I was staying in someone's home and it was great. Very pleasant. My only complaint:
The location of my room. I was on the top floor of the apartment/hostel, no big deal. But my room was located BEHIND the bathroom. Toilet and shower were separate rooms but if you wanted to take a shower you walked in and saw the room with the tub and a door, and that was my room. I kept it locked but there were a few awkward moments when people thought someone was in the shower for 2.5 hours (and they didn't know there was a room there).
But yeah, I paid equivalent of about 17-20$ for a single room on a Thursday night so I couldn't really complain.
Location is good but not if you just want to visit the Clock tower and the others. I liked it because it was on the outskirts so it wasn't SO touristy.
Also, there is a great bar nearby called Illegal Beer run by a young couple. I went there a few times during my stay and it was awesome.
