Pleasant hotel, very good restaurant

The room is very pleasant; we slept very well. It is worth noting the closeness in the bathroom with the adjacent Lodge.
The bar is decent; you can find wine by the glass and order small treats.
The restaurant is excellent, and the barbecued meats are sublime. We tasted Impala from the Coudou of the zebra. The servers are very pleasant.
I advise you to dress warmly for dinner if you are eating outside because it is quite cool, and if you are cold, you will not enjoy the meal.

The location was perfect - just outside the gate! The grounds were immaculate, with views you couldn't believe. Animals right from your dinner! The food was excellent - I couldn't believe how good given it was buffet style! I would definitely stay here again!!

Location is one of the only things going for this lodge. It’s just by the gate to get into Sossusvlei.
Staff are rude and inattentive. You get allocated a table for dinner but difficult to get attention to order drinks or to clear away your plates. It’s all buffet service so plenty of choice. They cater for bus loads of groups and not individuals.
Found the bar staff rude and dismissive.
Lunch options are poor, and you can’t order an à la carte lunch till after 2.30 and then limited options. We ended going to the garage a short walk away.

The property was very average and not worth the money.
On the up side, Assistant F&B Manager, Benny Amutenya really tried hard to make amends to the lack of empathy for my food intolerances, which had been flagged twice prior to our stay. He was very apologetic and acknowledged. Thank you Benny.
The lodge lacked ambience.

Lodge Sossusvlei

Lodge, beautiful, integrated into the landscape, respect for the environment. Pool available. Wifi in the perimeter of the reception, swimming pool and restaurant.
