One night is not enough!!!!

I had the absolute pleasure of staying here while touring Namibia and Sossuvlei
One night is just not enough. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Arrival experience: We arrived after a long drive, a little early for our rooms to be ready for us. We were a group of 7. Not an issue.
The staff took our bags from our vehicle and lined them all up. ready to transport them to our allocated room. The reception guided us to the lounge bar area, where tea and coffee are always available plus the bar is always open.
We had lunch, which was of good quality. The pool area looked divine.
Our luggage was taken to our rooms on a golf buggy.
The rooms (tents) are stunning, so stylish. The bathrooms are large and clean
There is a fridge with small portions of milk and bottled water.
In the room, you'll find coffee and tea-making facilities (French press for your coffee )
plenty of electrical sockets, the wifi is strong enough to stream online movies.
The evening meal is great, so much choice and excellent quality
We were departing very early the next morning to get to Deadvlie before sunrise. The hotel provided us with a packed breakfast/brunch.
All we had to do was leave our packed luggage ready, and they collected it from our rooms and stored it for us.

Desert Vacation

Overnight on a guided tour
※The guide may have known the staff of the inn and there may have been some exceptional handling.
We had no prior research on the inn in particular, which was included in a privately arranged tour of the Namib desert, but it was a very comfortable stay. Even though it was before 3pm from the arrival date, we had lunch and in the evening we had various game meat (game) dishes. The breakfast buffet was also delicious.
This is true of Namibia in general, where the bread and butter were very good.
The staff were all kind, but I heard them again and again because they spoke in English quite fast. Still, I'm glad he explained it properly.
Does the room feel like a thick tent fabric covering the top and sides of the wooden frame? . When the wind blows, there is a thud.
We stayed in early March, but during the day it was comfortable to stay in the room, even if it was over 30C outside (the air conditioner was working anyway). I spent the night with the cooler turned off. The heater was not working during my stay. He explained that the windows could be rolled up, but he never did.
The toilet and shower areas are like separate buildings and you need to get out. Animals seem to come pretty close at night, and sometimes I wake up to the sound, and it takes a bit of courage to go to the bathroom when that happens (there is a locked gate to the passage connecting the ridges). If you have a strong light, you can keep it in check.
The shower did not provide good water once during my stay.
The refrigerator and washroom are located at the point where it hits that aisle. It was a big help to have two 500ml plastic bottles refilled every day.
Overall, I think it is a facility that offers a very comfortable stay considering that it is in the middle of the desert. Because it is located inside the first gate and just before the second gate, you can aim for the sunrise dead flame.
Wi-Fi is also available in the room and in the dining area. Is your internet speed sloppy (10Mbps or not)?
※By the way, I was somewhat concerned that the pool is right next to the dining area.

Nice lodge

The best of this lodge is his location just in front of the entrance of Sossusvlei national Park. Personnel nice and helpful. Nice rooms but maybe too nearby each other but with a wonderful view (even though if you are in the front is better)

Perfect place to stay for the dunes.

Such a lovely lodge. The rooms are really special and have everything you need (including a hair dryer!).
Food was self service buffet style but great food.
We booked the morning drive to the Dunes - so glad we did. It was incredible to see the sun coming up whilst on the dune. Pierre, our guide, made it so much better than if we had just gone ourselves. The added advantage that we could go into the national park before anyone else was also worth it as the dune got really busy after we left. Being the third people on the dune made it that better.
Would definitely recommend this hotel. Loved every second of our stay.

Great location, needs some improvements

The lodge is delightful and the rooms well presented. The climate control would only work to cool the room and when we were staying nighttime temperatures were just above freezing and there was no means of warming the rooms. Using the bathroom at night was rather bracing as they are access via an external area. The temperatures in the communal areas were also extremely cold and just two gas heaters for the whole space were inadequate. The laundry service was extremely poor and took two days for items to be returned. One shirt was so badly scorched that it had a hole in the front and had to be thrown out, and the collar of another shirt also scorched. The food was very variable although the breakfasts were good. The staff were very friendly and the location of the lodge is good with great views and as it is located between the two gates into the park access is usually one hour before access through the first gate.
