Adorável retiro na selva perto de Tulum

O lugar vale seus nomes é pura magia. As cabanas são decoradas com bom gosto com uma cama confortável, uma vista lateral de vidro sobre o verde, banheiro limpo e convidativo. Os funcionários são super simpáticos e acolhedores, o cozinheiro prepara pratos excelentes, experimentamos o guacamole e o ceviche de peixe e não ficamos desapontados com essa escolha. Todos os sábados à noite eles têm uma apresentação com um jantar fixo e você pode pedir mais no meio da selva. Ouvimos jazz e blues de Rosita Parker e fizemos um jantar suntuoso ao lado da piscina, que durante a noite fica lindamente iluminada. Muito recomendável se você gosta de fugir da festa e da barulhenta Tulum ou simplesmente ir a algum lugar para relaxar alguns dias.

A fabulous enclosed hideaway in the jungle

A fabulous enclosed hideaway in the jungle for our little family of four with free parking just outside. We have two toddlers, ages almost 3 and 4 and this calm oasis with a wonderful pool and welcoming staff was just what we needed for our last 8 days in Mexico. We lived in a hut (1 out of 6) with two comfortable double beds, a clean an nice bathroom and a small patio with seating and a hammock. Pablo and Fernando were amazing and made it feel like home every single day for us. Jeremias made absolutely breathtaking food especially the mango ceviche and all his tacos were the best we had in Mexico! The breakfast options and drinks were also great. Every Saturday evening they have some kind of show and for tired parents of toddlers it was a wonderful experience to listen to jazz by Rosita Parker during a nice dinner for two and a glass of wine - something which we would not have experienced otherwise in Mexico. We highly recommend this peaceful place and its wonderful staff that make it extra special.

Very overpriced accommodation in remote location.

To be honest I only slept there and made little use of the facilities because I was doing a retreat at a nearby place and just returned to use the bed. The bar and restaurant prices were expensive and neither of the two men who were permanently there spoke any English. I didn't get the room I'd booked but did get a refund for the difference. However I never received an explanation. or an apology for the mixup. The exchange rate for the US dollar they gave me to pay for the room was very unfavourable and I only noticed after I had authorised it. The rooms are quaint and clean but overpriced for what they are. DON"T even think of staying here if you don't have your own car. It is very remote even from Chemuyl. I don't understand why people are saying it's convenient for Talum as it's about 30 mins by car and taxis charge about 50 US dollars for a one-way trip. You can get something better in Talum itself that would be much cheaper.

Achtung Diebstahl

Diebstahl
Leider sind wir am letzten Tag in der Anlage bestohlen worden. Hatten 10 Minuten aus gecheckt und festgestellt, dass unsere Bluetooth box fehlt. Da war sie schon weg. Niemand will es gewesen sein. Die Anlage ist klein und kein fremder kann rein. Die Chefin hat sich sehr entschuldigt und wollte uns eine neue bestellen und nach Hause senden. Leider stand sie nicht zu ihrem wort. Sehr schade, da es eine wirklich tolle Anlage ist und jetzt ein schlechtes Bild darauf wirft.

Wunderschön, aber nicht ehrlich.

tl;dr: Wir sind beklaut worden und die Angestellten beklauen sich gegenseitig.
Zehn Minuten ausgecheckt und den Verlust unserer Bluetooth Box festgestellt.
Zurück ins Domizil.
Bei der Rückkehr:
Tür offen.
Trinkgeld von 100 Pesos weg. Zerknitterter 1 Dollar Schein hinterlassen.
Bluetooth Box stand im Bad und war weg.
Keiner war es gewesen und man forderte uns auf, alles zu durchsuchen...
Chefin bot uns an, die Box zu ersetzen, hat nie stattgefunden.

Die Anfahrt ist etwas abenteuerlich, aber lohnend. Ein Juwel im Dschungel, eine absolute Oase der Ruhe.
Das Personal ist super freundlich und immer hilfsbereit.
Der Koch weiß wirklich, was er tut.
Wenn man der Putzfrau - ein wirklicher Schatz - einen Dank hinterlassen möchte, drückt man ihr das Geld am Besten selbst in die Hand.
