EXPECTATIONS EXCEEDED
EXPECTATIONS EXCEEDED BY FAR! Irbin was by far so welcoming and provided the most excellent service for the majority of our meals at Marezia's Beach Restaurant. His connection and conversation were truly heartfelt. His servant's heart can not be missed - so genuine and kind!
Ricardo's service as our concierge was outstanding! He answered every question, made reservations, and checked with us daily for any needs.
The room was everything shown on the website and more. Truly mind-blowing beautiful. You never need to even leave the room. Our private plunge pool was short of amazing!
This has been an amazing vacation to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary at BE TULUM. We can not wait to visit again soon!

Nightmare at the Be hotel
we arrive at the be hotel in Tulum Mexico, on Thursday
the same night we got robbed in our room. When we step out for dinner
When we came back, we found two of the stuff looking through our things when we ask what they were doing, they say not much they left quickly
the next day we realize our two passports were missing my cell phone and my husband‘s credit card we told the front desk the next day they searched the room. They found nothing we told them on Monday. We were going to make a police report but on Sunday, they put our two passports back in the room please don’t go to this place. They’re all in it. They want to rob you don’t go there. Please do yourself a favor. stay away from. This hotel. Be hotel in Tulum Mexico.

The feel of Bali in Tulum
We'd already booked our stay at another hotel but to be honest, if we had taken the time to tune into a great place to stay, where there's impeccable value...it would have clearly been Be Tulum. We came here for dinner often at the beach restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the food options, the servers and the vibes. Be Tulum feels like Bali in Tulum--wonderfully and artfully designed apartments integrated naturally into Tulum's flora...just feels so organic all round. Made me homesick for Bali (in a good way!). The lanterns in the trees on the jungle pathways, the gorgeous apartments made out of natural materials, sourced locally...just WOW. You also get Yaan Spa on the other side of the road where we enjoyed the most relaxing spa and massage. 5-star easily, would give more stars if I could...
When we come back to Tulum, we have already vowed to book a stay at Be Tulum. :)

The hotel is nice and our room was good but the hotel has raccoons roaming the property. At one point, a raccoon entered our room and opened the minibar. I alerted the staff who tried to shrug it off by saying “we are in the wild with them”. We couldn’t sleep at all as the raccoon knocked on our glass sliding door a few times during the nigbt to see if it could slide it open or we left it unlocked … Terrifying.

Charged $150 for “Free” Items in Room
This part of Tulum is beautiful, but the hotel does not live up to its luxury marketing and makes money by scamming you. We were charged $150 for “minibar” items like small nuts and lotion that were left around the room, despite the worker telling us that only items in the fridge were part of the minibar. They make it seem like basic items are included with the (already expensive) room, and then turn around to charge you exorbitant prices. Certain items are included (the incense around the room and in the bathroom) while others are NOT (the incense on the table), with no clear indications of what is an additional cost. And certainly no list of prices for the items anywhere (which make sense, given that no one would pay nearly $50 if they knew the price).
Aside from profiting off of this miscommunication rather than correcting the issue, the service and basic amenities of the hotel also did not live up to expectations.
The room’s safe was inoperable and required a technician to come fix it. The de-humidifier was out of maintenance and beeped all night the first day, keeping us up all night. They forgot to include a hairdryer with the room, and then forgot again to bring us one after we called them about it. These issues should not have happened in the first place, and response time to fix them was unacceptable.
I would recommend staying in one of the many other beautiful hotels in the hotel zone, not this one.
