Fast check in.

Check in was superfast,even we arrived around 3am. The staff serve us fast. Room was in a good condition,we book a standard room, very near to aeon,tesco and other facilities. Definitely will go again if I visit Ipoh. It will be much better if, hotel can provide a hairdryer in future overall, very good!

A really nice place

Well one might wonder why I gave 5 stars to this hotel, it is actually very simple. First its location just beside Aeon, making it a lot easier to reach. Second, the hotel cleanliness is well maintained (Bathroom, Bed sheet, etc,) the staff is welcoming and the communication is adequate. this hotel is my number choice whenever I plan to stay in Ipoh for few days.
I would definitely recommend anyone who plans to stay in this hotel. it is totally worth it.

Clean new hotel outskirt Ipoh

Booked a family type room furnished with a queen & single bed. Reasonable space for the room & also the washroom.
Inside, a wall mounted local channel flat TV, reliable hot shower, towel, a lot of power sockets is a plus here & free wifi.
2 free mineral water & outside there're hot & cold water dispenser. Room not that sound proof but comfy. Proper bathroom, not a frosted glass door type suitable for family stay.
Near to Section 18 Aeon Mall (with cineplexs) but no 24hrs convenient store nearby however quite a lot of 24hrs restaurants.
Quite a distance from Ipoh city ctr not suitable for tourist unless you own a transport.

Lovely hotel, out of the way location

Travelling at the end of Ramadan through Malaysia, we were warned by a friendly cafe owner in Georgetown to book our accommodation ahead. We did so, and while this hotel is lovely, the location disappointed us a little.
This was of course our own fault. We had no idea how Le Hotel was located in relation to the main old town area of Ipoh. We should have of course researched before booking, but in our haste to secure a room, we overlooked this.
If you love big shopping malls and marvelling at the size of huge Tescos, then this hotel is perfect. It also seems convenient for the small airport nearby.
As two Brits wanting to sightsee, however, Le Hotel was poorly located. The area lacked public transport, so we ended up using taxis; one taxi driver was quite surprised to hear we were staying so far. From the hotel to town is about 15RM one one way and takes around 20 mins depending on traffic. Not too pricey, but as cabbies don't seem to start working until 8am, we missed the start of a walking tour we had wanted to join.
The hotel however is lovely. Our room didn't have a window, and it had the feel more of a classy motel, but the price was good compared to many other options available at short notice online. Our private double came with AC, a TV (Malaysian language channels only; obviously they don't tend to see many westerners) and a large private bathroom with an excellent shower. It was very clean, fresh, secure and the staff were helpful.
All in all, pick this hotel up and put it within walking distance of the old town, and we'd stay again. A winner of a hotel, just let down slightly by the location if you're after sightseeing and backpacking like us.

Above average and great services

Services, room conditions and price of the hotel are great and beyond my expectations. There are local "mamak stalls" and supermarket nearby the hotel. The receptionists are friendly and we had a great chat regarding to the foods and tourist spots in Ipoh. it gave me a true way to experience Malaysia culture. If you are a backpacker or budget traveller who is looking for a cheap and great hotel in Ipoh, this is definately the one that you can consider.
