Excellent location, restaurant and service

We stayed there for one week in Superior room. This room has also separate entrance and terrace for nice evening or morning cup of coffee. Very close to beach, city centre. Excellent service, very good breakfast and excellent restaurant just few steps across small passage to have dinner. No fridge in the room, but you can get ice for you wine or wine bottle cooled from restaurant (the same owner). My husband caught fish in the local river and it was cooked and served for him at the restaurant.

Excellent restaurant visit

We visited the restaurant for dinner. The waitress was very kind and approachable. The wait for the food was very short (there weren't too many people there, but still much appreciated). We had fish mains, onion soup and kvass. Latvian members of our party said the soup and drinks tasted just as they traditionally should. The mains were incredibly delicious! I particularly recommend the sea bass. They were also all under 9 euros. Our kid's meal was nice and classic, on the safe side. If I have a chance to visit Roja again, i'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Poor service

Place is very nice, beach 5 stars, breakfast 5 stars, but room where i live is most expensive, and service is terrible, 2 days nobody clean my room, shower stop working after 3 days, owner of the hotel didn't change the room for me, didn't offer a discount, and even didn't say apologies for the discomfort what we have. If you like to get good servise for what you paid for, you should find the over hotel.

Highly recommend

We stayed there for one night, chose a summer cottage and it was perfect,no neighbors, peace, the sea just a short walk away (~200 m) and perfect breakfast(afterwards you can barely move because of your full belly) that was included in the room price. The staff was friendly and helpful. If we visit Roja again, we will choose to stay there again!

I visited this restaurant with my friends. Very impressed with the decor, seating and the whole set up. We were the only ones in the restaurant and the owner was very welcoming and friendly. She was very happy to help and explain the dishes. We ordered Pork Roast in beer sauce and pickled cucumber served with potatoes, Pan fried ork medallions with season vegetables, sour cream sauce and fries and Chicken slices in sour cream - garlic sauce. The food presentation, quality and quantity was very good. The restaurant also has well stocked bar. We had Kvass and Local beer. This was followed by a good selection of desserts Cottage cheese tower served in strawberry sauce, Home made Black currant ice-cream served in vanilla sauce and the local favourite Rye bread dessert with dried fruit with whipped cream. Boy they were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely recommend and visit again.
