A Magical Stay at Gaismas Klēts
A Truly Special Countryside Retreat – Peaceful, Welcoming, and Full of Charm
Gaismas Klēts is such a lovely place! There’s a spacious garden, hammocks for relaxing, and a small library with books to enjoy. We stayed in the unique Straw Room to experience something different – sleeping on a handmade straw bed! It was incredibly cozy and calming, truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
For children there is a trampoline and children's bikes, balls and stuff.
In the evening, we enjoyed the countryside sauna – a traditional Latvian pirts. It was absolutely fantastic: hot, but not burning, and made us sweat in the best way. A real, authentic Latvian sauna experience.
For guests with allergies, there are also traditional beds available in other rooms. The property is beautifully equipped – there’s a terrace and grills, plus a shared kitchen where you can prepare your own meals.
The sea is just 7 minutes away by car, and a lovely river is only a 3-minute walk away. Free bicycles are available, and there’s also an option to go boating or paddle on a catamaran. You can swim, explore, and just enjoy nature at your own pace.
Shops and restaurants are only 3 km away, and the city of Liepāja is just a 15-minute drive. It’s also possible to arrive by bus, which runs every hour.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax, reconnect with nature, and experience the heart of the Latvian countryside.
