Kemeri Hotel
Excellent place to stay for summer. Good location, easy access to transportation. Easy train connection with Riga. Very comfortable suite with hot tub and sauna. Recommended on weekdays. Secure parking. There are no fast food restaurants in the area.

Stinky, dirty and extremely basic with an arrogant owner
Nightmarish stay at this hotel. Was staying in four rooms with extended family for ten nights. Problems started as soon as we checked in, owner informed us he has double booked and one of the rooms would have to move into a caravan in the middle of the holiday. So instead of the room they paid for, they ended in a musty caravan without hot water, cause according to the owner it was summer so no hot water needed!! My children, husband and I were in a family room. No wardrobe or drawers to put your things in. Day after we arrived the room started to stink, a bad drainage smell coming from the bathroom. The owner very arrogantly said he could smell nothing ( you could smell the stink out in the corridors), shrugging his shoulders and stating that he would do absolutely nothing cause in his own words ' he has no problem '!! When we got angry at his lack of action and arrogance he wanted to throw us out of the hotel! I asked when we checked in for a space in a fridge to put some milk in for a young child, but he refused us even that. In all rooms hot water was touch and go, we ended up running to each others rooms in the hope of a warm shower!! Eventually the drainage smell could be smelled in all rooms. There are notices all over the place not to throw dirty toilet paper in the toilet but to use the bins provided, something we wouldn't have had a problem with had they been emptied everyday! However these bins, full of dirty toiletpaper, were emptied once every three days. The rooms were cleaned only ONCE in the whole ten days . The hotel is in a national park, naturally full if insects, however no insects screens were installed on the windows to be able to at least open a window to let out the stench!! Unluckily we needed to be in the area to be near family so we had to stay the whole ten days but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!! That hotel needs a vist from Sanitary authorities!!

Musky, damp smelling hotel with even more putrid smelling service.
1 star only because of location, otherwise I would score it less.
This place was BAD! Starting from the rails of clothing for sale in front of check in to decor. Worst part was the smell, we were told it was the cleaning products but in reality it was cleaning products plus dampness. Everything just had a musky damp smell combined with lavender and vinegar based cleaning product.
When we expressed our concerns, we were told nobody else minded the smell and that we should be happy that they are cleaning their place regularly. We very quickly came to the conclusion that we would not get anywhere with the management and decided to just stay out of the room as much as we could.
Next morning, we headed off to a family event 2 hours drive in Cesis, which went on to early hours and we decided to stay the night. In the morning we had missed calls and messages from hotel stating "as we had not stayed the night we should return room key so that can remarket room". We called and spoke with manager who sent message and told him that we had paid for the room and whether we slept in it or not was none of their business and that we would return key at the end of our booking. This person then cancelled our booking via booking.com stating we had not checked in! Leaving us without our fully paid for accommodation. Upon our return to Riga, we went to the hotel to speak with manager who was not present but the member of staff who was there stated in no uncertain terms that they did not care what we thought.
We have submitted our complaint with photographic and video evidence to Booking.com.

Отдыхали в этом отеле уже не первый раз! Мы за 1 день до заезда согласовывали время заезда и время сауны.Брали номер с джакузи и сауной. Номер хороший, чистый, от сезона меняют декор. При входе в номер есть туалет и прихожая, где можно оставить верхню одежду.Так как номер присоединён к помещению с джакузи, работает усиленно вентиляция засчёт этого в номере немного прохладно, но когда вентиляция отключаеться в номере комфортно. В номере есть чайник с чашками, чаем и кофе. Есть телевизор и программы на разных языках. В номере есть большая кровать и диван. Помещение с джакузи просторное, имеется трюмо с зеркалом и феном, небольшой столик и стулья для отдыха, джакузи приблизительно на 4-5 персон можно включать подсветку и регулировать интенсивность бурления(джакузи можно использовать до 22:00) сауна стандартных размеров чистая есть песочные часы(сауну можно заказать на 3 часа это входит в сумму, можно также продлить время)также имеется душ со шторкой. В отеле нет кафе или ресторана, но возможно вскоре всё изменится. На втором этаже есть небольшая кухня : стол, стулья, стульчик для малышей, шкаф с посудой и приборы, микроволновка, чайник и холодильник (плиты там нет). Внутри всего отеля много зелени, это придаёт уют. На территории отеля есть батут, беседка и мангал и также имеется бесплатная парковка.Отель находится в национальном парке Кемери, рядом есть красивый парк с источником, большая детская площадка,водонопорная башня, беседки и остров любви.Небольшой продуктовый магазин.Неподалёку есть Кемерские болота. О всех достопримечательностях вас проконсультируют на рецепшене.
