Suites in Museum

I stayed in this sumptuous villa with my wife for the weekend of June 2nd. A splendor. A well-maintained structure that exudes history. Delightful rooms, silence, spacious and furnished with extreme care.
A place similar to a museum: an atrium with a billiard room overlooking the immense dining room where breakfast can be served. A pool surrounded by a park with ancient plants.
Truly unique.
As unique as Silvano, the manager of the establishment: a courteous and hospitable host ready to welcome you and tell you the history of the villa or the places to visit.
All passed.

Time travel to the past

Friendly contact before arrival, with directions and photos for easier understanding. Friendly welcome and explanation of the villa built in 1832. You dive into the past. Nice room, great bathroom and a very comfortable bed rounded off the first impression. Questions about Como were answered warmly and gladly, a city map provided. The more than positive overall impression continued at breakfast. Very extensive and versatile everyone will find something here. Fresh egg dishes are prepared here on request, coffee wishes are prepared and served fresh. The guest is pampered and appreciated here. An unforgettable experience that we will certainly repeat

Great 3 night stay

We have had 3 wonderful days. Silvano and the staff looked after us extremely well. Everyone was very friendly and always on hand to answer queries and offer advice. The suite was amazing and overlooked the beautiful pool. The oversized shower is excellent. Toiletries are great. Breakfast was great everymorning and you mist ask for the poached eggs.
The villa is about 10min walk from the lakeside which helps walk off the pasta

A magical place

From the first to the last moment, one feels at home in Villa Platamone. It feels like a visit with friends. The historic house is impressive and is filled with the friendly and charming nature of the hosts Silvano and Filippo and the entire team. One is treated like royalty. An extraordinary place.

Simply stunning

Stunning villa! From the moment we arrived all the staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. We had the Marchese suite which had a balcony a lounge area and large bathroom with really comfy king bed and fabulous shower. Breakfast was fabulous and varied stays open until 11am which is unusual but very welcome, buffet style plus you can order freshly cooked eggs etc. A great touch was appropriate relaxing background classical music, we mostly sat on the covered patio for breakfast - terrific!
This is a villa (only 6 rooms) not a hotel so you feel special and well looked after. Everything was spotlessly clean.
Many suggestions and tips regarding trips and eating out recommendations
At the end of our holiday they even took us back to the local train station when we couldn't get a taxi - thank you!
N.B. this property is on a hill some 7 minutes walk from the town. If you have walking issues this may be a problem for you on the way back up to the villa
