Perfect place to stay in the heart of the historic center

Michelle is an excellent host. He has thought of every single detail to make the stay very comfortable.
The room, kitchen and communal spaces are kept ultra clean.
Handy things like umbrellas, mats and maps are available. Michelle always replies to messages with five minutes.
The location is perfect, with loads of shopping places and restaurants.

Best place to stay

We are very pleased with our 10-day stay here. The owner is a wonderful and very helpful person. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, cleaned during your stay, and have everything you need. The property is located on a charming street, in a great location. Guests have access to beach mats and a ball for example. It's clear that the owner cares deeply about his guests, which is a huge plus. I recommend this place to everyone. The owner helped us with our luggage to get to the bus stop which was really nice.

Amazing Alghero Experience!

We had an amazing stay at Casa Machin. The location was perfect—quiet and peaceful at night—while the room was spotless and well-equipped. Breakfast was charming, the Wi-Fi fast, and the AC a summer lifesaver. Michele, the host, was incredibly helpful—he gave us many useful tips for our stay and recommended several great places to visit and try. His advice really made our trip smoother and more enjoyable. We will definitely use this house again for future stays!

Room is fine, host is unprofessional

The room itself is fine—clean, well-located, and the bathroom was in decent condition. However, the soundproofing is poor; you can hear a lot of noise from other rooms in the building, which affects comfort.
The real issue, unfortunately, is the host. After leaving a fair and honest 4-star review, we were met with unexpected hostility. The host became aggressive, sent us inappropriate messages, and even altered his review of us out of spite.
Unless you're willing to leave a perfect 5-star rating regardless of your actual experience, we strongly advise against booking this property. Sadly, the host does not handle feedback professionally.

I find Sardinia a wonderful land and Alghero has bewitched my heart!!! Not to mention Michele's wonderful house where I felt pampered! The location is strategic, the rooms are large and spotless. The perfect services and availability is total! I couldn't choose a better place for my holidays! I will definitely be back!
