Extraordinary hospitality, charm and a good night's sleep!

There are literally hundreds of pubs in Dublin of course, but there's only one Thomas Moore Inn! A veritable gem floating in a sea of watering holes. As a solo traveler, I was delighted to not only find lodging at a reasonable price, but also a great spot to sit, have a drink, and chat with the lovely and charming hostess behind the bar, Miss Fiona. I really can't say enough about the place; built in 1779 it has retained its original interior, so you really feel swept back in time. It's located in an area accessible to Grafton Street for shopping, and Temple Bar if partying is your thing, and also museums, antique shops, ferry rides, you name it. Since I didn't have a car, I was pleased to discover that you could walk to practically all the hot spots, and if not, then a lift app could take you there without punching a huge hole in your wallet. At night, even though the inn is so close to nightlife, I wasn't bothered by any noise at all, in fact I couldn't even hear the guests next to me. The inn has just finished a big remodeling and all the rooms are sound proofed now, so you can sleep undisturbed. I slept great. The day I left, I sat in the pub and had a nice chat with Fiona and Dave the proprietor, and as I was agonizing over which app or taxi service to choose from, she really went the extra mile and called a driver whom she knew personally, saving me quite a few quid! Extraordinary hospitality is what you'll get if you decide to make a stop at this inn. Do yourself a favor - stop in for a pint, and say hi to Fiona! xx

Recent visit

My friend and I stumbled across this bar as we were exploring the city. Fiona immediately made us feel so welcome and her personality and energy made us want to stay for hours. We had just been talking about revisiting Dublin and now have decided to book into this inn when we return because of Fiona. What a treasure... never let her go. Debs and Bryt x

GREAT PLACE!!

Wow - love this pub!!! Super comfy and beautifully decorated!!! Bartender was the sweetest to us!!! Best pub we have been into during our Dublin stay!!

Brilliant Stay

Thanks to Steve and his team for a great 2-night stay. Room and decor was fresh and new. Lovely bathroom and shower. Our stay was during a heatwave - fortunately the room had amazing air-con, and ensured we had a great night rest. Room was cleaned and re-freshed for us for the second night. Bar was lovely as well. Easy unobtrusive 24 hr access to our room. Highly recommended.

Brilliant

Brilliant place, lovely atmosphere. Fiona was fab! What a lovely lady very welcoming and knowledgeable made us feel so welcome! Great live music
