No frills and fancies but adequate

The customer service actually outweighs everything at this hotel. The dining room is going through a renovation, and therefore the staff went out of the way to make us comfortable and made arrangements for us.
The food indeed is very good. Top notch.
The rooms require some upgrades and renovations which I believe they are working on.
Barbil does not have very good hotels and this is their best I think . Now you have JW MARIOTT coming up there.
The town is remote and not many facilities. But we had a very good holiday amidst forests , iron mines and waterfalls.
The only train from Kolkata to Barbil (Jan Shatabdi) is horrible btw. Never keeps right time.
But am happy. The hotel did its best under the circumstances.
Go for the higher tariff executive rooms with AC

Got what we expected

Good facilities. They arranged for 3 day trips into Saranda forest, Kiriburu and Meghatuburu. Great experience. Barbil is a mining town and not much to do here. Come here to venture into the surrounding forests and you'll cherish the experience.

Good Budget Hotel in Barbil

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel with family. It is good budget hotel in Barbil. Staff are very helpful and provide prompt service. Food is also very good and available on a reasonable price. The only negative point I can say that, the Management / Owner should be more careful about the maintenance of the hotel.

Good hotel with decent stay

The hotel's location is good, the staffs and manager is very cordial. I visited this hotel 3times for job related purpose. The rooms are very spacious well decorated. The food is also of good quality. Well maintained property.

Adhar Hotel for commoners

Rooms are standard,specially those in the second floor. 1st floor rooms are better with an adjacent small lobby in many rooms. However ACs are not working properly in many rooms. Staffs are quite co-operative specially Rabi & Dipak. The restaurant is large and divided into 3 parts(1 part is bar cum restaurant).My roommate told me the price of drinks as mentioned in the room table list is quite cheap actually !!!
Overall an average and standard stay is possible.
