Unforgettable Stay at Polo Orchid Resort

Our family had a truly wonderful and memorable stay at Polo Orchid Resort in Cherrapunjee! Atokali’s warm hospitality greeted us from arrival, making us feel right at home amid serene lush green hills and breathtaking misty views. The spotless, spacious rooms offered perfect comfort, blending modern amenities with natural charm.
The delightful evening hi tea, savouring treats in scenic beauty. Dinners were magical with enchanting live singing.
Impeccable service throughout every detail. Ideal family getaway blending relaxation and joy!

We paid a premium for a waterfall pool suite but were given a room with no view. The local staff admitted no rooms with a room exist and marketing pictures on the website and Expedia are misleading. Hotel management would not make themselves available to deal with the situation.The hotel is dated. Rooms had bugs. The pool was not clean. Restaurant mediocre and does not cater well to western taste. Appalling experience, I am surprised Expedia continue to partner with them given the open misrepresentation of the rooms and facilities.

Cottage stay

We were told that our room had been upgraded to a cottage. The cottage was awful. I had ants in the bathroom. The plunge pool had no water and was filthy. The front door had big gaps so other creepy crawlies got in. I hated it but they were asking for more to change. Absolutely not a 4 star. The restaurant staff and chef were brilliant. They were very obliging. I would not book there again as the cottage was very dirty and filthy. All the wood needed to be cleaned thoroughly. The bathroom water was slow on draining so you were stood in a puddle when showering Not a good experience for the price paid.

Experience at Polo Cheerapunji

Very over priced rooms !! Entry level log huts are actually "huts"and not rooms for 15000 a night . The plunge pool suite rooms are barely entry level rooms(in terms of quality)for 22000-25000 a night. Staff training and courtesy are below average . Food at the restaurant is shockingly sub standard !! People coming in from metros or those looking for a high quality experience are likely to be disappointed with the overall experience. Visited the Jiva resort nearby for lunch .Fabulous property. Excellent rooms and surprisingly 25-40% lower pricing for a property that is way superior in terms of infrastructure, rooms , food , staff courtesy and overall vibes . Polo Cheerapunji is overrated and overall disappointing . Feedback mails written to their management obviously don't receive responses , courtesy the booming hotel Industry in India , thanks to the rising purchasing power of the Indian consumer!. Good luck Team Polo Cheerapunji and all the best to visitors looking to visit here ✌️
