Ala-grand hotel right in the centre of Amritsar

A 5 star hotel room right in the City of Amritsar.
Room is quite spacious with king size bed, a wardrobe, small pantry with fridge and hot water jug, a neat, clean, spacious bathroom.
Request for an extra mattresses with blanket + pillow was promptly fulfilled. Housekeeping too is quick in service. We also saw Inhouse restaurant providing good spread in breakfast.
Golden temple is easily accessible by auto (Rs. 40 per seat or Rs. 100 for personal auto). Hotel staff helps in getting the vehicle for us.
It also has a spacious banquet for celebrating small parties and ceremonies

Nice for an evening in their 5th floor club lounge but not to stay.

Hotel was located in a very secluded spot away from anything. It was on a main road with very little around it. Check in was smooth and I got to my room which was clean and tidy. The en suite bathroom was also quite clean. The temperature was around 4c but there was no heating. I called the reception who sent someone up to sort it but turns out the central heating only come on after 8am and not at night. They offered me another blanket instead. I asked if I could get something to eat and was told everything in the hotel was closed and i should download an app and order from outside. Couldn’t download any apps and asked reception at 11.20pm if they could order me something. They said they could order me a pizza and I finally got a small dominos pizza at 01.20am. 2 hours later. After that I wanted to take a shower but there was no hot water. Asked reception again and was told there may be hot water in an hour. There was no Luke warm water till around 9am. I was booked to stay here for 4 nights but checked out the following morning and went to the Ramada hotel in town. Reason for a 2 star was room and bathroom cleanliness.

New property but needs effective management. At present it is a disappointment because of lack of professionalism.

I stayed in this hotel and it was a disappointment right fro the word go. It is a small property with no parking space. Cars are parked on roadside. Rooms are very good and matress quality is fine. Sleep quality is great. Rooms are small but comfortable. Problem is with the management. Was Rooms are modern but levers don't work. Soap and shampoo dispensers are full but defective. Hot water is not available because nobody switched on the system. Breakfast is a disaster as there is no buffet. No bakery, no juices, no variety. I eas given a choice of one out of three dishes. Staff is very helpful but helpless as professional touch is missing. I being a regular international traveler, was very disappointed. Location is prime. The hotel can run smoothly if a professional hand is hired and hard work is put in by checking the services regularly. I hope the owners read this and act.

Average hotel

It’s an average hotel located near very famous makhan. Rooms are small and bathroom is very small. Mattress is very comfortable. You have to ask for each and every basic amenity like towel, bathroom slippers and soap then they will provide. We stayed for one night it was ok place .

Nice Property

Property is new and Rooms are nice & comfortable. The staff is very cooperative and ready to help with anything you need. It's a good place to stay, and it's very near to Makhan ka Dhaba which is famous for food. Thank you for good hospitality. Best Wishes!!
