Amazing stay

Nothing but the best for Villa Monte Dana!!!
We (4 friends) stayed for 4 days and chose this villa because of its amazing and convenient location, not to mention how nice and clean the room is!
We ate across the street in the Bakery in the morning, and afterwards went to the train station which is nearby and takes only 9mins to Amsterdam city centre.
Would highly recommend this villa!

Don't go

Our hotel room was terrible. We couldn't stay there because the room smelled so bad. There was smoked and also it smelled mold and musty. The room service tried neutralize the smell but it didn't get much better. They couldn't do anything else so we had to find an another place. And we lost 400 euros for four nights. There was visible mold in the bathroom ceiling. And the balcony's plank crashed when we went there. Also the fire alarm was taken off from the ceiling. Save yourself from this place! If you have any allergies or asthma, there is simply no way to stay a night in this place and it's generally a health hazard for anyone.

Nothing like the pictures! Do not stay here

We arrived at 4pm, reception was a man speaking over a intercom giving us the code to unlock the key safe, when we entered the “ deluxe double room with terrace” the carpet was very dirty as we started to unpack we noticed everything was filthy, the bedding the walls the curtains the surfaces so we went to the shop and brought anti bacterial wipes, later that evening as we closed the curtains we saw poo and sperm on the walls and on the curtains we attempted to call the man on the intercom and no answer... the room had no heating only the bathroom, we sent the owner an email asking him to clean the human poo and the heating.. we had no response, we tried to contact
Him several times via intercom but no answer. The quilt and pillow Smelt of sweat and poo.
Please do not stay here it ruined our stay, getting to Amsterdam central takes 20 minute walk followed by a 20 min tram , theres nothing around the “ villa “ just pharmacy shops and Albert heijn, there was a Chinese restaurant which was disgusting, however there is a lovely pizza/kebab place nearby. Please read all reviews before booking we thought people was complaining for the sake of it but it genuinely is a terrible run down place to stay.

Couples weekend break

Parking is free, quite road and not to many tourist and no big hotels around. Walk to the train station is easy, 7 euros return pp and take 10 mins to get to the centre of Amsterdam.
Staff were very friendly the rooms were at an okay standard of cleanliness. The only bad point is you have to be very, very quiet in the rooms as the walls are very thin and you can clearly hear other talking and moving around. Everywhere you step makes a noise and to respect other guests your tip toeing every step. I’m not one to be loud but even sneezing the other rooms will hear.

beware booking

Booked this hotel through expedia. will be arriving on late flight nov 21 shortly after midnight. there is no shuttle at this time of night from airport also will probably arrive at the hotel after 1:00 am they do not allow checkin after 1:00 am. The booking was non refundable but the circumstances in regards to times was not clearly evident till after booking the room. Emailed and phoned the hotel almost immediately to cancel the booking in light of the circumstances regarding the time frame of arrival. They will not cancel booking very uncooperative hotel.
