Hotel developed a distinct experience
Hotel Groede in Groede ( Zeeland ) an absolute must , especially for cyclists who want to discover the beautiful Zeeland.
Hotel Groede , with rooms in an old inn , located in a quiet, pedestrianised
and nicest street in Zeeland.
Do not expect a 5 star and grand luxury but hospitality, tranquility, cleanliness and comfort.
Upon arrival, one is immediately immersed in the cozy atmosphere of the past
The atmosphere of grandma and grandpa.
And what could be more blissful in the morning at 8 am being woken by the bells of the church tower, nearby.
Don't forget the very well-kept and tasty breakfast buffet.
Hotel Groede , with rooms in an old inn , located in a quiet, pedestrianised
and nicest street in Zeeland.
Do not expect a 5 star and grand luxury but hospitality, tranquility, cleanliness and comfort.

They are not honest!!!
After reading very positive reviews about this hotel, I decided to make a reservation for the same evening.
He must have had a problem with their reservation system and the situation escalated.
Here are the facts:
Online booking on Your website for one night the same evening. Payment tracking (bank proof) - 13/02/2026
Receipt of cancellation email from you - 13/02/2026
Booking in another hotel, I assumed that your hotel was full, and that you would automatically refund - 13/02/2026
Receive a new email from you reporting an error in your online booking system. But too late, I made other arrangements - 13/02/2026
Sending an email immediately to inform you of the facts - 13/02/2026
Receipt of an email from you asking if we can cancel the other hotel. Impossible since it's the same day - 13/02/2026
I answer you the impossibility of cancelling and request the refund -13/02/2026
Receiving several emails refusing refunds despite the problem coming from YOUR reservation system - 14/02/3026
Sending several emails telling you that this is not acceptable - 14/02/2026
Receipt of the email informing me that you refuse to refund but that you offer a reservation before April 1, 2026 - 15/02/2026
Sending an email telling you that it is impossible for us to return soon to Zeeland - 15/02/2026
Since then, NO response from you.
I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST THEM.
For me, it's like stealing!

HOTEL GROEDE What a Mood , what a Cosiness and a Unique Holiday Feeling
I was there for the Third Party, in hotel groede in the coziest and pedestrian street
van Zeeland. People say Third party good time , but this was the very best time , because coincidentally there was the annual art weekend in Groede.
What a cozy and quiet room with all the trimmings and with all the Mood from grandmothers time. And how wonderful it is to be woken at 8 am by the bells of the church tower.
What an experience , a breakfast to start the sunny day immediately and especially
the nice welcome and friendly staff.
Just one point of attention : the steep stairs to the 2nd floor , but for sports enthusiasts this can and should not be a problem.
They may expect me there again soon

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel with a pampering package but they also offer a cycling & pampering package where as you can suspect the rental of electric bikes is included (the area certainly lends itself to this )
The hotel is split into two buildings on the same street: one above their eatery 't Overleg where breakfast and dinner can be consumed and the other which is housed in an old inn ''in de wetij''.
We stayed in the latter which is a very nice authentic building only here two points of attention : upper floors not suitable for people who are difficult to walk because of steep stairs and the building is not suitable for difficult sleepers because of its wooden floors : it is very noisy (for which the managers also warn you).
Furthermore, a great hotel with very clean sanitary facilities.
Breakfast is certainly adequate and the evening meals offered are very good.
The staff is very friendly in short a must for those who want a few days rest!

Small hotel, clean, lovely people!
A small hotel on top of the eatery Het Overleg. Located in the cute and cushy village of Groede. You really come there for your rest. The people are very friendly. The breakfast buffet was small but the quality totally fine! Our compact room had sturdy beds, air conditioning and a clean bathroom. We were out a lot so we only slept and had breakfast there but for a nice price this location is good. I couldn't actually find any downsides.
