Good but communication can be improved

We enjoyed the full experience at Villa Augustus (room, breakfast, dinner) and I can say I had a pleasant time.
The breakfast whilst small was all home made and enjoyable (only filter coffee available - lattes etc at a pluscharge). We decided to have dinner which was good, great quality for the prices and a nice atmosphere. Parking is very convenient and free.
Communication wise I think there could be some improvement - we booked the room on the water but theres construction so we got woken up at 7am by this. If we knew wed have booked a room in the main hall. We arrived for dinner and at first they wouldn't seat us bc they were full (had a party coming) but then they sat us after consulting the chef (which we highly appreciated!) - meanwhile there were still tables available on the site for that time ..
The parking info says u can stay as long as u want but when consulting the reception they said max until 2 (which was ok in our case but if ur planning a full day in dordrecht - best to check).
Nevertheless a good stay and I recommend it to enjoy their F&B options too!

A beautiful location with well manicured gardens. The restaurant serves really tasty food and cooks the produce grown in the garden.
We had the room with the observation deck above. Fabulous views of the surrounding area. Perfect for sitting with a morning brew or watching the sun go down. A great stay.

It was an amazing location, amazing hotel. Staff and rooms were all perfect. The food, the service just excellent. Quirky and different in the best way! I cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you everyone at the hotel for making us feel so much at home.

Hotel in the water tower of Dordrecht

We had booked room number 20. It was worth it. It is the very top one on two floors. Surprisingly, despite the great summer heat outside, it was surprisingly and pleasantly cool. The toilet is very, very small. Otherwise, there is nothing to complain about regarding the room.
Breakfast in the restaurant. In and of itself also very good. Many things from the garden. Great bread. The concept at check-in leaves something to be desired. You are asked to wait, and when you do, you are simply ignored.
It is a shame that you cannot sit outside for breakfast. (Said the service staff)

Hospitality far to be found.

We brought our parents here last weekend and had booked 4 rooms. These are difficult to walk and there are quite a few steps to walk. On arrival we could not drink anything on the terrace as hotel guests because everything must be reserved. There was no flexibility. Also with dinner and breakfast we had to eat everything as hotel guests inside. Furthermore, all the furniture is iron and this turned out to offer little comfort for our parents. So with elderly we would not recommend the hotel. Unfortunately for us no success.
