An unbeatable family holiday. Book it.

A true 10/10 family holiday experience. We couldn't recommend the Thalassi Hotel highly enough.
A wonderful family team run this hotel and restaurant who made us feel ever so welcome. Highlights include (1) the size and layout of the superior family room (which is more like an apartment) - modern and ultra clean with a pool facing balcony, (2) a good range of traditional buffet food with stunning sunset seaside views in the taverna, (3) the recently rennovated swimming pool area, (4) deck chairs always being available on account of there only being ~30 guests at a time, (5) location - a 5min walk to a nice sandy beach with lunchtime snacks, (6) close to bus stops - we highly recommend a trip to nearby Panormos (10min bus ride), and (7) nearby lunchtime options at the bakery and gyros cafe, (8) ability to unwind here - away from the crowds of Rethymnon, (9) a nice cooked breakfast buffet - with their baked items (rotating daily) the pick, (10) the poolside bar - never a queue, Mythos pints always cold!
We will definitely be returning.

A Beautiful family run hotel, stunning beach side dining

This is the second time we have been to this beautiful family run hotel / apartments , where you will receive first class personal attention from the owners themselves Dimitri, eva and there son Anthony, and of course there fantastic team who have all worked there for many years, a real family run business,
Rooms are kept immaculate, as is the breakfast room and pool side, where there is a lovely bar area run by steff who is a breath of fresh air .
The sea view restaurant run by Dimitri and his staff is to die for , right on the beach ,with stunning sunsets every night. Food is freshly cooked every day from local produce ,and to a very high standard, which is all included in your trip, saving you a fortune on eating out
You can expect a great sense of pride from Dimitri,who has a great sense of humor,
There's busses outside taking you into town or the beautiful fishing village every hour , or taxi service.
It's worth every penny,and feels more like a 5 ***** than a 3 ***
We will be back thanks Dimitri eva and Anthony, and all your lovely staff xx

Amazing

Fantastic family run hotel all the staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. Demetrius & Eva the hotel owners made us feel so welcome . We stayed half board and did not have any issues what so ever with the food. Its typically greek food that you get all over greece. We have been to many different greek islands and would without a doubt be returning here. I cannot fault this hotel its so clean throughout .There were always sunbeds available round the pool no matter what time you go as you cannot put your towels on the beds to reserve them which is a massive plus for me . If you want a quiet hotel with only a supermarket and a couple of bars but within easy reach of Rethymon then this is for you. The bus stop is close to the hotel so really easy to get about . The beach is 5/10 mins walk. For the evening meal you go to their restaurant which has the most amazing views of the sunset there is free transport to take you but you can walk only 5 mins away . I am a travel agent and will be definitely selling this hotel.

Beautiful Hotel, fantastic staff

We stayed for two weeks as a family of four with two young boys 6yo & 4yo.
Hotel team is extremely helpful and kind, Nothing is too much trouble. They always took time to chat to us and made my children feel extremely welcomed.
Hotel room was extremely clean.
The food was delicious, there was always something we enjoyed on the menu.
Hotel isn't far from the bus stop you can catch the number 20 from outside the school to go one way or outside of the restaurant to go the other. The restaurant is around a 5 minute walk but you do go past a lovely cake/ice cream shop which sells the most beautiful cakes so highly recommend. The walk never bothered us atall. The restaurant has the most beautiful sea views and the sunsets are stunning. We hired a car from the hire company next to the restaurant and again they were brilliant.
We had an amazing holiday and Thalassi Hotel was beautiful. Would 100 percent return.

Hotel to avoid, they charge extra for everything.

Clean hotel but tiresome meals: always the same appetizer buffet and for dessert only 4 varieties of ice cream and watermelon: every day, it gets old! Furthermore, they charge 5 € / day for A/C, even though it was not specified in the listing, and they charge 2.5 € per bottle for water at every meal: payments exclusively in cash so as not to leave a trace... The hotel is in an ugly area, no decent beach nearby, fortunately we had rented a car! in short, I do not recommend it.
