Pelini a wonderful experience

We were here for a week and would love to stay longer; our accommodation was so beautiful!
The highlights of the Irini 1 apartment. UPPER FLOOR:
- the hosts welcomed us very warmly, even though we arrived late due to a flight delay
- super beautiful view from the balcony of the sea at Como Beach, ahh how we will miss the sound of the waves
- spotlessly clean and we received new towels after just three days!
- good Wi-Fi
- comfortable bed
- private loungers and umbrella for the beach
- good amenities in general
Conclusion:
5 ***** we would gladly return ☝️

Beautiful stay in Beijing in July/August 2024

I had a wonderful stay in Pelini. I had the chance to stay in the newly renovated attic apartment. Everything was superb: the view, the comfort of the bed, the facilities, the location and the small village of Kalamaki is very charming. I will definitely go back!

Wonderful, restful stay

We stayed at Pelini for 3 nights in 'Irini' and have enjoyed enormously. The room is modern, with very comfortable bed. Wi-fi is great and the hosts have ensured there is everything required on hand. Air con is perfect although the balcony allows wonderful air - and sunshine. The views to Kalamaki bay are second to none. The hosts are very kind and helpful as well. Best restaurant in the area is also just next door! We found a real gem with Pelini and would highly-recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area. 10/10

Lovely beachfront apartment

I recommend Pelini Rent Rooms highly - it's right on the beach. We stayed in the new, large top floor apartment, Thea. It had everything we needed, including a washing machine (no dryer, but a rack to hang things on) and a full kitchen with useful supplies. The website pictures are for real, the light and views are that good.
What I don't recommend is visiting very off-season (mid-November), as we did - just about everything was closed and it felt kind of like a ghost town (no other apartments occupied). The one real restaurant still open, Italiana, was fine, and the unique Yianni's was a real experience (go). Long term, If you just want to be on the beach, read and cook in, Kalamaki is OK in November. Otherwise you'd need to drive some shortish distances to other towns.
The ruins at Phaistos were uncrowded, not surprisingly, and we had Matala almost all to ourselves. You can walk to even-more-lovely Kommos Beach, or take a short scenic drive there.

Peaceful apartments at the beach

We, a family of four, spent a pleasant ten days at Pelini. We had rented two apartments, Pelagia and Nefeli. Children (20 and 17) stayed at the more spacious Pelagia and the grown-ups at the little smaller yet still quite roomy Nefeli. Both apartments were well equipped and offered an astonishing view from the balcony. There were even private sunbeds at the beach available for us.
Pelini is located right next to the beach and a couple hundred meters away from the busiest and noisiest part of Kalamaki which makes the place peaceful, yet everything Kalamaki has to offer is within a short walking distance.
The owners were kind and attending. I was also occasionally invited to join them and their extended family for a barbecue and Mythos, something I especially appreciated.
To sum it up, I give Pelini a warm recommendation.
