The room is spacious and the view from the room was excellent. Location is just right for an easy walk to the Spice Island Mall as well as the local food vendors in the Plaza. With regards to the beach you can walk to the Grand Anse Beach or the Grand Anse Beach cove. Easy access to the local taxi service to St. George's shopping area, and the Market. The staff is very helpful.

1. Grand Anse Beach (5-Minute Walk)
You are only about 300 yards (under a 5-minute flat walk) from the world-famous Grand Anse Beach. You just cross the main road, and you are right on the soft white sand. Because it's so close, you don’t have to worry about beach parking or paying for taxis to get to the island's best shoreline. As a bonus, the quieter, highly rated BBC Beach (Morne Rouge Beach) is also within a 15-minute walk in the other direction.
2. Shops & Conveniences (2 to 5-Minute Walk)
You don't need a car for daily essentials. Just down the hill from the hotel, you have easy access to:
* Spiceland Mall: Just a 2-minute walk away. It features a large, well-stocked modern supermarket (Real Value IGA), an international food court, clothing shops, and pharmacies.
* Le Marquis Shopping Complex & Excel

We had a hilltop suite with a beautiful view. These are very basic rooms with very limited furniture and kitchen supplies even with the full kitchen suites. This resort is defiantly not worth the 9.0 rating on Expedia. My wife and I have traveled extensively all over the Caribbean over the last 12 years and this resort is a great value for the island since most places are so highly overpriced. But it is certainly not in the 9.0 rating category. The door lock on one of our patio doors was broken, ran out of stove gas half way through the week, they advertise personal safes in the rooms but you have to go to the front desk and get a lock to use them. At best I would say this resort deserves a 6-7 rating overall.
