Wonderful hotel, fabulous food - we will return!
We stayed for one night while driving to Greece. I wish we could have stayed longer!
The hotel is beautifully done up, with stunning sculptures, paintings and furniture. The garden was wonderful with a great pool and the most comfortable sunbeds. Slightly too few sunbeds as we discovered later in the day when more guests arrived.
As we stayed on a Monday the main Michelin Restaurant was closed, but we ate lunch and dinner at their Bistro and the food and decor was fantastic. The staff throughout were helpful, professional and charming.
Our room (we paid a bit more for a superior room) was just wonderful. Comfortable beds (pillows not great) cotton soft bedding, and the highest tech bathroom. And a lovely terrace.
Secure underground parking. Everything was perfect. We left something in the safe and the reception team arranged for it to be couriered.
We really couldn’t recommend this hotel more and plan on returning when the main restaurant is open.

Wonderful
Lucurious and very agreeble hotel in Vqlence, which is part of the gastronomic comolex of Anne-Sophie Pic. Comfort, silence, pleasure, delicacy, attentive service. Worth going and do not forget to make reservation for the dinner at the restaurant.

Still at the pinnacle of French gastronomy despite a slip-up with a fleur des cimes...
We were returning almost 20 years later with our children, who have become teenagers, to this magnificent place that was our first 3-star Michelin, the 1st out of the dozen others we have visited since. Expectations were therefore high. The hotel's renovation work is magnificent and the whole (reception, bar, reception hall, garden, pool) is cozy, quiet, and decorated splendidly with rare taste. The 48 covers are scattered throughout the immense space, and the distance between the tables leaves a delightful impression of having privatized the restaurant. The welcome, the service, and the knowledge of the menus and their composition by all the servers and sommeliers are rare and precious.
On the plate, a captivating 7-stop journey where Chef Pic's creativity and originality are felt in every bite: varied textures, magnificent plating, and above all the abundant use of aromatic herbs (rooibos, lovage, savory, mint, fig tree, citron, saffron, juniper, cinnamon, jasmine...) that change the guests' olfactory experience. The impression of tasting the exceptional is definitely there. Let's also note an extraordinary wine cellar with nearly 2,000 references, including bottles at very reasonable prices for an establishment of this caliber.
A flawless experience then? Unfortunately no, because it was the "field-grown tomato" dish, the first appetizer of the menu, that was mysteriously botched, likely due to its preparation: the idea is magnificent, a dish based on tomato, rooibos, and gentian. The cream surrounding the tomato preparation is flambéed at the table with gentian. We think that too much gentian was used and it was not burned enough. Result: all the alcohol accumulated at the bottom of the plate, killing all the flavors of the dish like a bad trou normand. We tried to make the staff present understand this, who just commented that gentian "stimulates the appetite"... A bit weak... Aside from that (which remains abnormal for a 3-star, however), Maison Pic remains in our hearts one of the jewels of French gastronomy.

Behind the scenes. True or false???
I very often pass by the superb decoration by Nespoon, artists from Warsaw who have enhanced the PIC facades. As for the negative, I do not like all the smokers working in this restaurant who, during breaks, turn the street into a smoking area while keeping their work uniforms, which end up impregnated with the smell of tobacco, which is UNACCEPTABLE for this type of restaurant, just as it is not tolerable that some employees, according to several testimonies, are not respected? To be verified. Could other surprises be revealed? Enjoy your meal because the important thing is on your plate, and it is very good.

FABULOUS
Among the high-end hotels I have visited, this one is clearly in the top: everything is fantastic: the decoration, the thoughtful touches, the staff, the cuisine (we had dinner at the André restaurant), the breathtaking room, the welcome. It is a place where I am certain to return.
