The place was so beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Both of the restaurants were excellent and the food was incredible.

Beautiful luxurious hotel with French charm

Very beautiful establishment full of charm and very well maintained with furniture and decoration of very good taste. Attentive staff and numerous enough to be well welcomed. The pool is a nice size and well adapted to the hotel's capacity so you always find space. Here again the patio furniture is of quality and recent. The rooms are spacious, bright and for the 2 used had separate toilets which is certainly a French standard for a 5-star hotel. Parking is included, easy to access and convenient. The only thing missing is certainly a sauna. The park is large with centuries-old trees and well maintained, a beautiful oasis of greenery

That is why “Oh-la-la” is a French expression…

Absolutely magnificent stay! From entrance and reception, accommodation and facilities, gastronomy and staff: all equally “excellente”…
Special commendation to Ambre the bar lady, who made not only outstanding house-cocktails (The Botanist is my favorite), but showed to master the classics as well, with or without a twist.
Rooms clean and beautifully maintained in the Manor’s style, excellent beds, hot and powerful showers. Lovely park and pool, Tennis if you are up for it. Beautiful restaurants with equally beautiful kitchen, and, noblesse oblige, a stellar wine selection.
For us, our new home base for our Normandy and D-day adventures,
Will be back for sure…

Tranquil Chateaux

Very nice, quiet relaxed setting. Easily walkable to Port-en-Bessin-Huppain. The staff were very friendly and the restaurants on site were excellent while the breakfast was also very good. I would recommend a car if coming here for easier access to villages further away although we were able to take a taxi to Bayeux quite easily arranged through the concierge. I loved the historical feel of the place. I would recommend it to anyone.

Deep Breath of Beauty

So special! We spent 5 nights at Chateau La Cheneviere, using it as a base for our travels in the area. It is such a beautiful estate with an interesting history. Our room was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed and amenities. We enjoyed strolling the grounds and relaxing by the pool at the end of one of our tour days. The staff was quite nice. Breakfast delicious. We did dine at Botaniste one night and while the food presentation was beautiful, the flavors were off and food not cooked quite right. We had a car and parking was easy and we drove to Bayeaux for dinner the other evenings. Easy to park in the center of Bayeaux, even at the end of June. We strolled into Port en Bessin for lunch on our arrival day -- interesting walk. We would recommend this hotel for romantic couples and families! Smiles from all at breakfast.
