Spotlessly clean
Stayed for 5 nights in September. Room was overlooking small interior courtyard with fridge, tea making facilities and large bathroom. Beds made and towels changed every day. Fridge was also a mini bar to include soft drinks, water and cava (reasonable prices and re-stocked). Couldn't fault the service of cleaning staff/reception staff. Air con was a bonus as temperature was on the high side (free). Located in town and close to Burriana beach and local tapas bars. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Lousy.
Lousy. One of the worst, if not the worst accommodation in Nerja. Air conditioning in poor condition. Very expensive for the little it offers....!!!!
I wouldn't come back for free to this....hostel ������������������������������ any more than any more than any more than any more than "more."

Great location for walking to shops, restaurants and the beaches
We arrived at 4pm to realise that the next slot for check-in was not till 5pm, so we happily went to a bar close-by for the hour. It was our own fault as they had clearly said on our booking "To make arrangements for check-in, please contact the property at least 24 hours before arrival using the information on the booking confirmation.". Funnily enough, our room key was in the key-safe outside, so if we had contacted them, I'm sure we could have got in sooner. As I said, this was all our fault for not advising them.
The lady who checked us in was really nice - friendly and very helpful.
Our room was small but absolutely fine as it had all that we needed and more. It was nice to have a kettle and cups for making tea/coffee as well as a reasonably priced mini-bar and the use of the fridge if we wanted. The TV was also very good.
The shower was fantastic - lots of hot water and good water flow. It was great to see a full size hairdryer provided (although I had brought my own).
On our first night we found the heating unit kept switching off, so we were really cold; we also noticed that where our room opened onto the inner courtyard, the door to that was open so may have made it colder? On the second night, we had a much better night - we closed the courtyard door and the heating was fine. It was good that the heater unit was quiet, as many can be noisy.
The bed was a bit uncomfortable too which is also a reason for making this a 'Very Good' not 'Excellent' review.
I would recommend this as a great place to stay in Nerja as it is so central and fairly priced. The hostal and room was spotlessly clean and it was nice to have a couple of chairs to sit on outside the room if you needed it. Although there were many guests there whilst we were there, all of whom were very respectful, so noise was not a problem despite it being New Years Eve.
We chose to park for €1 per day (if the men are patrolling at the time you're there, which they're generally not so it can be FREE) a 10 minute walk away in a large open car-park on waste ground (off the roundabout at Calle Ingenio & Calle Puente Viejo). It was a fairly straight walk across several streets to get to the Hostal.

Value for money in Nerja
This hostal is located centrally with short distance to restaurants and shops.
Very nice host. Be aware that the hostal is closed in the siesta - and opens at 17:00, if you want to cheque in.
Nerja town is easy to find your way in, and specially the square by the sea with lots of outdoor cafe's is a nice place to relax.
