Just brilliant

5 minutes walk to the beach. Staff efficient and friendly, Hostel is extremely clean and all that you need , you can get tea or coffee if you wish. There are books you can borrow. Even a bar. English speaking and helpful. Lots of shops and restaurants around and the lovely Orange Square.

Not recommended - ideal for stressing

Malillo mattress, we use our sleeping bags.
Lack of bleach on the floors, insects, ugly smell and poor ventilation.
Very small bathroom.
Noisy, it is not advisable to rest.
We spoke to manager Ximena, but she has no empathy with the client.
We went to rest and enjoy the location and all we got was stressed with the bad treatment of the manager.
We're leaving the second day.
Cheap stuff is expensive.

Bedding wears out over time

The mattress, malillo.If they wash the sheets one more time, they fall apart.Two days we had to wait for them to do the cleaning, and it was almost 16 hours.Otherwise fine.We were charged for the stay of 10 days as soon as we arrived, but we were not billed.On the day of departure, I thought to ask her, but there was only the cleaner.The location, the best.

Customer service and comfort not a priority

Stayed here for a conference, the weather was very hot. Each day I returned to my room to find the air conditioning turned off and the window open. I asked that they not do that, but did it anyway. One night there was a huge bug on the wall in the hallway and I didn’t want one ending up in my room.
There was a water issue, it was turned off at the street for repair. I had stopped in to shower after having been out all day in the heat, to get ready for an event in the evening. I was informed that there was no water, and I kind of freaked out. Told the guy I was sweaty and smelly and had to shower and was my hair for an event. It wasn’t his fault, but it was an issue. He gave me 2 huge bottles of water. Have you ever tried showering having to use one hand to pour and control the amount of water you use? Not easy. Plus they were cold, not refrigerator cold, but cold.
When I checked out I asked for a discount, she laughed at me and said ’we don’t do that here’.
Customer service and comfort, not a strong point.
Would never stay here again with that kind of response.

Absolutely delightful

We came to Marbella to stay for two weeks while I had medical treatment, the first 11 days we stayed at a different, far worse hotel, and on a whim decided to move to a new place near the end of the trip, and we have never made a better decision. The place is beautiful and clean, with plants and comfortable common spaces. The staff are friendly, helpful and speak good English, at least for the standard in Marbella. The rooms are comfortable, clean. The AC works and the shower is comfortable.
There is a beautiful third floor terrace, and an inside garden in the common room on the ground floor. The common room is bright and friendly, with tea and coffee at no charge.
It is very close to the beach, the old town area (which is a must see) and the new downtown area.
I cannot recommend this place enough.
