Reception staff are friendly and want to help but they don't have much English, this is a good time for us to practice the bits of Spanish we have picked up along the way.the room was clean and cleaned daily,bathe location was on a main road which makes getting the bus easy and there is no noise intrusion from the road. The included half board is a little basic but we always found something to eat that was ok, breakfast the same. Overall a nice hotel, don't expect 5star luxury but for the price, a good choice. Also not being too close to the beach you have to plan what you are doing so you get more from your stay than where everything is laid out for you.

Horrible
Honestly, our stay was an absolute disaster and we would not return under any circumstances.
As soon as we arrived at the room, we found that the air conditioning was dripping water. We reported it, but upon returning at night, the leak was exactly the same, unfixed. Upon going out into the hallway, the image did not improve: the baseboard was totally swollen and bulging from the humidity, a symptom of an obvious and prolonged lack of maintenance.
At night, dogs barking. However, the worst came with the security and the hotel's surroundings:
* At night, we saw a person vomiting at the gas station attached to the hotel.
* In the morning, the situation worsened severely: there was a woman clearly drunk and high wandering through the hotel hallway and banging on the room doors.

Disappointing Stay –No Drinking water Substandard Facilities and Lack of Basic Amenities
I stayed at Hotel Bag on the 25th and 26th of April, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. This hotel is significantly showing its age and, in its current state, I would consider it a substandard establishment that fails to meet basic hospitality expectations.
Major Issues:
No Drinking Water: Most importantly—and quite shockingly—the hotel does not provide drinking water in the rooms. This is a basic human necessity and a standard expectation for any hotel stay. Having to go out and source your own water just to stay hydrated in your room is unacceptable.
Substandard Dining: Both breakfast and dinner were very poor. The selection was extremely limited, the quality of the food was lacking, and it felt like very little effort was put into the catering.
Lack of Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the rooms was below par. I noticed dust in several areas and the bathroom didn't feel properly sanitized. It gives the impression that the housekeeping standards have slipped significantly.
Uncooperative Staff: Whenever I approached the staff for assistance, I found them to be cold and unhelpful. There was no sense of "hospitality" here; it felt like any request was an inconvenience to them.
Other Observations:
Maintenance: The property is visibly dated. From scuffed walls to worn-out furniture and thin pillows, the entire place is in desperate need of a renovation.
Value for Money: Even at a lower price point, the lack of basic care and maintenance makes this poor value for money.
Verdict: I would not recommend staying here until management takes serious steps to improve hygiene, staff training, and the provision of basic room amenities. There are much better options in Castellón that understand the fundamentals of guest comfort.

We booked this aa a cheap one-night stopover before travelling a little further North to see the eclipse. We didn't expect much for the price and it was as to be expected. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was only 3€ and for that price was actually good with pastries, cereals, bread and refreshments. There was plenty of free parking which was helpful.
The hotel bar was open and a good price for drinks.
The aircon in our room did drip so we reported that at the end of our stay. The area around the hotel is quiet and went went along to the port which was also very quiet . We didn't go into the town but it seems that's where most of the restaurants are.
For a couple of nights, it's fine but I wouldn't personally choose the area for a holiday. However, with the price compared to other places during the eclipse days, it was a bargain.

The hotel is in a very convenient location near the beach. The rooms were very dirty with dead bugs on the walls and a bad odor. The staff was kind and the meals were fine. There isn’t much parking.
