500m to beautiful beach!!

Really tidy campground with pool, kids sports area, awesome restaurant and is only 500m to the beach!!! Pitch sites are basic but the facilities are all modern and clean. Restaurant is really good. Good prices and the best cold meat starter we've ever had.

I just feel sorry

It is a real shame it was a family business that worked wonderfully with a fixed clientele, the campsite was wonderful, clean, quiet, with everything you need to spend a good holiday and with a competent and professional staff in reception.... But one year the famous Laura arrived that you have read so much about in other comments... and the campsite fell into a pure decay of all kinds... began to treat customers with pure despotism (customers that she did not like clearly ) the services started to be cut , it was getting dirtier and more left, the permanent people started looking for other places of vacation,,,, people who had been summering in this campsite more than 25 years... and gradually she herself took care that the business went down and closed.... A real shame for a lot of families that we enjoyed for many years there until she arrived....

Nothing to add....

....As all is said in the different reviews. So the rating is really about personal expectations. We stayed 2 weeks in a Mobil home for 6.
What you should expect: a very good location 5 minutes from a superb beach, a great family atmosphere, a nice and clean pool not too crowded, a great restaurant at reasonable prices and friendly staff
What you should not expect: Mobil home was rather small for 6, very/too close from other Mobil homes, very few activities for kids (basically none) and the campsite is very hilly (not fit for gran pa or gran ma)
All in all we had a good time but once again depends what you are looking for.

Couldn't get past the misery of reception to stay

Came to this campsite with my girlfriend with high hopes after looking at recent reviews. Arrived in the eve expecting to stay for a few nights so parked up and walked into the reception to enquire, but unfortunately we were treated as a hinderance as soon as we walked in.
Following the cold intro of the belligerent brunette behind the reception desk, she put her phone down, clicked some buttons to see if space was available and marched us outside to view the plots.
Hopeful that we could get past the terrible customer service we thought the plot may still be worth while, however we were shown a solid astro turd pitch on a ledge which was no bigger than the ground sheet we had to put down. Dissapointed with that we then asked where the shower block was, which was answered with a grunt and a finger point at a building block over a road. Then she marched back inside and left us to ponder on our accommodation for the next few nights.
Funnily enough we didnt stay. Actually stayed at Camping Begur the other side of Begur which is worlds apart from what we were shown at El Masat and would highly recommend.

Superb facility

This lovely camping ground has wonderful friendly staff (good English too), the cleanest and freshest-smelling bathrooms, a great restaurant, and is only a couple of minutes walk from the (very nice) beach.
We were in a 6.5m campervan, and negotiating the steep drive and narrow access was tricky. I wouldn't try it in anything bigger.
But totally worth it.
