IDEAL LOCATION
Stayed from June 25 to June 28 in a room with a sea view. The experience was absolutely satisfying in every aspect. We celebrated our anniversary at this charming hotel with magical views and the sound of the sea lulling our dreams. Carlos is an exceptional professional, an expert knowledgeable about the hotel business, always giving practical and professional advice.

Great stay, gorgeous views
We really enjoyed staying here. The view from our room was very special and it was nice to sit on the balcony. Yes, there are cars passing by but it’s not terrible. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very nice. It was convenient to have parking right at the hotel. It’s about a 5 min walk to the historic center.

Worst hotel on the Camino
First the good points - there aren’t any.
Unfortunately the bad points are many - characterless establishment reminiscent of Stasi East Germany right on the main road 10 mins out of Baiona. Surly receptionist, scowls when asked for a second pillow, bedroom shutters didn’t work (more scowls from receptionist when asked for help), poor bedding, pillows resembling bricks, v worn bath towel with holes, bar towel masquerading as hand towel, smallest shower imaginable - only accessible sideways on (anyone above size 12 would struggle to get in at all) uncomfortable bed, no reading lights, decor right out of the 1960’s and nothing done since then. Needless to say only positive was handing keys back in the morning.

For this reason, we find it difficult to understand some of the comments made, particularly those referring to situations and behaviours that do not reflect the way our establishment operates. Hotel Rompeolas is a family-run hotel with direct owner involvement, where guest care is based on personal attention, availability and a welcoming approach — qualities that are consistently highlighted by hundreds of travellers in their reviews.
We readily accept constructive criticism when it comes from genuine experiences, as it helps us improve. However, we believe that future travellers deserve accurate information and reviews that faithfully reflect the reality of a stay.

Poor service.
The breakfast service is meager, and the hotel lacks the comforts that all hotels now have; for example, we had to ask for a hairdryer, which is not provided in the rooms. I do not recommend it.

Ci dispiace che la sua esperienza non abbia soddisfatto le sue aspettative. Vorremmo tuttavia fornire qualche precisazione affinché i futuri viaggiatori possano comprendere meglio il contesto del suo soggiorno.
La sua visita ha coinciso con il primo giorno di apertura della stagione, durante il quale abbiamo accolto contemporaneamente un gruppo di 16 persone a colazione. Questo ha comportato alcuni ritardi nel servizio che riconosciamo e per i quali ci scusiamo. Si è trattato di una situazione eccezionale che non riflette gli standard abituali del nostro hotel.
Per quanto riguarda l'asciugacapelli, il nostro hotel è una struttura a due stelle e le dotazioni delle camere sono conformi alla categoria dell'albergo. Tuttavia, mettiamo a disposizione dei nostri ospiti asciugacapelli portatili gratuitamente presso la reception, come le è stato indicato durante il soggiorno.
Siamo sempre aperti alle critiche costruttive perché ci aiutano a migliorare, ma riteniamo che una valutazione complessiva dovrebbe tenere conto anche del tipo di struttura scelta, dei servizi offerti e del contesto in cui si è svolto il soggiorno.
