So i call his bluff, phone the number listed under the booking details, his phone rang... rigjt there infront of me. We had some back and forth, but in the end he was just saying the price is triple what i paid online - turns out its a well known bait and switch/scam they list a price to bait you in, then lie and force you to pay cash.
Terrible experience, shady owner, strongly discourage anyone from going through this experience when on holiday - imagine you dont have the extra cash to pay??
Rediculous, hotels.com staff seem reluctant to punish these scammers, just sayinf it was "miscommunication" or when phoning him they said "lack of english speaking staff.". His english was just fine when he was telling me how much extra it all costs, funny that.
