Lots of positive things. Breakfast was great, we got upgraded to a room with ocean view which made for beautiful scenery, the staff was helpful and friendly. The room was cozy and had all the things we needed.
Our only concern was the cleanliness of the garden. The day before the hotel had hosted a wedding and we found numerous cigarette buds and used napkins around the garden. Fully aware it is a significant task to clean the whole garden but would have expected the hotel and staff would be capable of handling this type of events and the cleaning afterwards.

Charming property

We stayed here to put ourselves in reasonable proximity to Egeskov castle. The property is charming with a pretty view of the water. The room for three was clean. Mattresses were a bit firm, but pillows were soft. The breakfast was nice. The property is not air-conditioned. The only mechanism for cooling down the room was to leave French doors open, so it got a little stuffy at night. Overall, a nice property with a lot of attention to detail.

Sun on a rainy day!

The view from the terrace at Stella Maris is unrivalled. It is a fact. We visited the hotel on a rainy Sunday when the kitchen staff had been free. Instead, the hotel director stood at the barbecue and prepared a sublime evening meal. The weather required us to move together. A cozy and informal atmosphere around the barbecue caused guests from all over Europe to feel a sense of unity that made the conversation go between the tables. Super nice. We will definitely be back next year:-)

a very nice experience

Stella Maris is a wonderful small hotel, filled with discreet elegance, excellent food and a very nice staff. It is located beautifully next to the sea at Sydfyn.

A fantastic experience

Stella Maris is a gem in which all the details that you didn’t even consider are thought of. The surroundings are lovely, the room with views of the spring was delicious, the facilities are spotless.
However, the relaxing atmosphere and tranquillity created by the skilled staff remain in the body long after.
We have already booked our next stay
