Beautiful!
A beautiful hotel with a very special charm. It has been lovingly renovated - bright and modern, without losing its historical character. You feel comfortable immediately.
I would especially like to highlight the exceptional friendliness of the entire team. From the cleaning staff to the hotel management, everyone was incredibly warm, attentive, and helpful.
The food was simply fantastic - fresh, flavorful, and prepared with a lot of love. The restaurant is absolutely recommended, even if you are not staying at the hotel.
We had an all-around successful stay and would love to come back. Many thanks to the entire team!

Where should I start?!
We met at the Årøsund bath hotel, walks through the door and don't really know where to go. When we find the restaurant, we are greeted by a lighter arrogant waitress. We tell that we have ordered a table, to which she rolls eyes of us (strangely done).
We get our table. There's dirt. Mattresses on the floor all over, spider spiders on the table.
After 30 minutes of waiting, we'll have dried bread with some butter. There were no plates for the bread, so we sat in our crumbs, which are all over the dough.
We wait another 30 minutes on the main dish. It is fine prepared but tastes of nothing. We have to get up and pick up salt (as several other tables did) to make it taste a little.
The service is really lazy. It goes so slow, with getting ordered food, getting his food and drink.
The price does not in any way reflect what you get. That's a lot of money to pay for so little... disappointing!

Bad experience
We ordered the Badehotellets burger. The waitress said that they were out for pomegranates and could offer broth potatoes, which we accepted, however we asked for them to be roasted well. They were so completely white, had just hit the forehead. The burgerbollen was just a little lun and the steak the same. Overall a pretty disappointing experience. The waitress also had no overview and seemed distressed and not very welcoming.

Lack of profit and quality
Our visit to Årøsund Hotel was unfortunately a messy and disappointing experience.
The reception was confused, the reception was unmanned, and the service gave us no guidance in the menu. The main dish (bake-in salmon) came immediately – before we even managed to eat the served bread with green butter. The food was only lunky, although the taste was fine enough.
The experience ended with a soft napoleonic cake without crispness and with almost invisible glaze. There is room for great improvements in both service and kitchen.

Disappointing experience
Just returned from a stay at Årøsund Badehotel – a beautiful cultural pearl at Haderslev Fjord with a great location and nice renovation.
Unfortunately, the very stay was a great disappointment.
The service was unprofessional and chaotic from start to finish. Beer was sold out, cocktails from the menu card could not be made, and wine, which the staff first confirmed they had, still did not exist.
The restaurant at St. Hans' Evening was marked by confusion and lack of overview. We had to ask for the included bubbles after a long wait.
The food did not live up to the hotel’s own words about quality, craftsmanship and respect for local ingredients. The business was extremely sparse, the main dishes tasteless and luncheon — we ended up sending the food back.
The breakfast was also not impressive.
At our complaint we got the comment: “What do you expect for $699?”
That remark unfortunately summarizes the experience very well.
The positive? The surroundings, the atmosphere and the beautiful renovation.
But the bathing hotel Årøsund cannot live on the scenes alone.
