A Magical Stay in the Danish Countryside
The property itself is absolutely beautiful and honestly feels a little magical. Surrounded by open fields and quiet countryside, there’s a sense of peace there that is hard to describe until you experience it. The setting makes you slow down completely. Between the beautiful outdoor surroundings and the very comfortable, thoughtfully designed common areas, it’s the kind of place where you could easily stay for an extended period and simply make it your base for exploring this whole part of Denmark.
One of the highlights was the atmosphere among the guests. We had wonderful conversations and genuinely warm interactions that made the stay feel almost communal in the best way.
The food was exceptional — truly refined, fine-dining quality, with incredibly high-quality ingredients and a lot of care behind every dish. You can tell there is real passion here, not just hospitality as a business. The stories, warmth, and attention to detail made the experience feel deeply human and memorable.
Also: the beds were honestly some of the most comfortable I’ve slept in, comparable to a five-star hotel. I had some of the best rest I’ve had in years there.
As an American traveling abroad during a politically tense time, I especially appreciated how welcomed and comfortable I felt. I never once felt judged for my country’s political situation — only genuine warmth, openness, and hospitality.
And considering the level of care, beauty, food, comfort, and overall experience, the value for money was honestly out of this world.
I already look forward to coming back.

Great hotel in Gedser, very welcoming
Super nice hotel, great and clean rooms, great beds, very friendly and service minded owners, great surroundings.
Excellent breakfast buffet which we had after a short walk and visit to the shore. The hotel is close to the sea and there are wild animals in the surroundings, and a very happy Winston the dog that will welcome you.
Would recommend to friends and others
