It was very nice to stay in that place with my family.

Excellent place! I went there for a few days on vacation with my family. We were undecided, so we went to the beach. It's super close, with a great atmosphere, very quiet, and very safe. I recommend it.

A wonderful place to relax

I spent 14 days at Playa Hermosa and was able to use the facilities and pool of the Lua Villas Hotel during that time for free. I would like to express my sincere thanks for that.
The property is beautiful, very well maintained, and the team is exceptionally friendly and warm. I was also able to view two rooms, which were very comfortable and stylishly furnished.
A wonderful place to relax at Playa Hermosa.

Perfecto stay at Lua Villas

What a perfect place to stay! I could not recommend this place anymore. Roy and the rest of the staff were very accommodating and were ready to attend to any needs you had. The villa is very cozy and is only a short (<5 minute) walk to the beach. This part of Costa Rica is very beautiful and I could not think of a more perfect place to stay than Lua Villas.

Perfect villa

I had an amazing experience at Lua Villas, it was the best place I stayed during a long trip of south/central America. Roy was an excellent host, helpful, friendly and professional. The villa was beautifully designed, with a well equipped kitchen and a massive, comfortable bed. The swimming pool was always clean and with plenty of sunloungers to relax on. The yoga/exercise area was a great bonus. The place was silent at night and very short walk to the beach, I wish I could have stayed longer. If you are coming to Playa Hermosa, definitely try to stay here!

Unreliable

Owners and staff are unorganized and unreliable, and difficult to get ahold of. I emailed directly to book 4-5night stay, and it took weeks to get a reply, once I finally did, I was informed with a price of $169usd per night, they confirmed twice the price and I proceeded to ask for booking confirmation. I was then told the nightly price would actually be $330usd per night.. which was a big jump, and I was disappointed as I already canceled and lost my previously booked accommodation to book this one. They then told me they would honour the price of $169, which was lovely, until I asked again for a total cost and confirmation, willing to pay in full for 5 nights, for the host to tell me they decided to not honour the original price after all. This conversation took multiple days, with the host only replying once in a while, delayed responses, incorrect information, and was uncomfortable for me as a guest trying to simply book and get accurate information efficiently.

As we explained in our previous messages, you chose to post this review regarding the misunderstanding about the rates.
We would like to clarify the facts regarding your inquiry so that future guests have a transparent understanding of what occurred.
From the beginning, we informed you that our rates were being updated as your request was for the peak season. Throughout our communication, we explained that the rate in the screenshot you provided was incorrect and did not correspond to our peak-season pricing. While we sincerely apologize for the delays caused by a temporary issue with our email inbox, we want to emphasize that this booking was never confirmed, and no deposit was ever requested or made.
We are surprised by this review since you did not stay at our property and a formal reservation was never established. Although we tried to find a suitable solution, unfortunately, we were unable to offer the incorrect rate you requested.
We regret that this misunderstanding led to disappointment, but we believe it is important to provide clarity for our community. We wish you all the best in your future travels.
