Keep looking. Not worth it.
First, the location is great, although quite noisy as it is right on the highway. The beach is on the other side, very close, but not easily accessible unless you want to risk life and limb climbing down a VERY sketch ladder to the rocks below. Even the warning sign on the stairs has broken off. If you want to get to the beach easily you’d have to walk down the road a way to the public area.
There IS a nice grassy area in the middle, which was the saving grace of this otherwise mediocre hotel.
Generally speaking, it seems this property is not very interested in keeping guests happy or comfortable. There are many rules posted. Not much staff, if any, available to help with anything. The whole place could use a renovation, in my opinion- with possibly some customer service training and more reasonable rates.
Also, the whole booking process was painful and VERY unorganized! Not impressed with that aspect at all- although once we finally were allowed in to the lobby, the woman at the desk was friendly enough, and tried to be helpful.
Overall , I would not recommend this place, unless you are desperate. We will not be returning.

Deeply Disappointed — Not What Was Advertised
We booked a room specifically for the ocean view and balcony, only to discover on check-in that the balcony door was permanently screwed shut and could not be opened. There was no other window or ventilation in the room, and it smelled strongly of stale cigarettes — making it completely uninhabitable.
The woman at the front desk was genuinely helpful and tried her best, including attempting to reach the manager, but as it was 7pm no one was available to resolve the issue. No alternative rooms were available, and hotels nearby had significantly higher last-minute prices. We had no choice but to take the ferry back to Vancouver the same evening.
What's the point of booking a room advertised with an ocean view and balcony seating if the balcony is permanently inaccessible and the room has no ventilation? This was a frustrating, costly, and deeply disappointing experience. We would not return or recommend this property.
