Hotel York Petrópolis.
The Hotel York is a very comfortable hotel and with great service.The room in which I stayed had a very comfortable size and the facilities were in the day.The breakfast had a good variation.

Hotel York a big lie
I want to leave my indignation about this hotel. I made the reservation 11 months ago, they made me pay half the reservation I was charged more than the booking would. I took a group of friends. I was ashamed. Dirty hotel, the rooms do not match the photos., misleading advertising. Leakage in the bathrooms flooded the bathroom floor with water coming out of the sink, bad bed, with a cake under the sheets. In the room of one of the couples the bed was used, dirty sheets, had hair. My friend went down to get something that fell under the bed, was the biggest dirt, got an allergy to one of them, so much dust. The coffee from the manha until that is good, but the rooms are tiny, the box barely fit a friend that is a bit cheiny. The bathroom light from one of the rooms flashed all the time, the person made a complaint in the hotel hall, they did nothing. The toilet record came out in the hand of the person who was taking a bath. A couple stayed in a room and had a very thin curtain in the window that gave way to a place where the light was on all night (it didn't cost a blackout there) They couldn't rest, their room smelled sewage. It was chaos. I am writing so that other hosts are not fooled as we were, believing in the propaganda that said to be very good, and tbm to say that the photos do not conform to reality. Another thing they don't say is that there's no accessibility, there's a staircase to get to the hall. Below the stairs in the entrance hall, there is a bathroom only, for men and women who have bad smell., Anyway, I am upset, ashamed to have taken friends to this hotel. It doesn't even have an interphone, people need to talk to portaria to make a request. They want to go down, two hair dryers to the whole hotel. I'd give that hotel a score of 6.0 if you could call it a hotel. On Booking is 8.4 and very good. I don't have photos but I have testimonies from two guests, reporting what happened.

Location without standard quality of care
I made the reservation based on the information and photos shown in the Booking ad and the Hotel website. However, when I arrived at the hotel and checked in, I noticed that the available room did not meet the expectations generated by the offer. The ad featured photos of three different types of rooms, without making it clear which one was meant for my booking. The received room presented a lower conservation status than expected, with worn furniture, a bed making a lot of noise, insufficient acoustic insulation between the rooms and poor conservation. As soon as I realized these conditions over time, I stayed at the hotel for about 1 hour and 30 minutes and immediately contacted the reception to report my dissatisfaction and request a solution, such as room change or the cancellation of the accommodation. I was informed that nothing could be done and the reception did not even show concern about what happened. We did not feel welcomed at any time and had to listen to tones of deboche, and at no time we destroyed or missed respect with anyone, we just communicated that we did not like it and we wanted to see what the place could do. In the absence of any alternative and understanding that the accommodation did not correspond to what was announced, I left the hotel without using the accommodation. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Lack of ethics, empathy and comfort. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Lack of quality, empathy, ethics and comfort.
I chose this accommodation based on the information and images available in the Booking ad and on the hotel's official website. However, when I arrived at the venue and checked in, I realized that the available room was not compatible with the expectation created by the disclosure.
The advertisement displayed photographs of different room categories, without clearly stating which one would be intended for the booked room. The accommodation I received showed obvious signs of wear and tear, with old furniture, extremely noisy bed, precarious acoustic insulation between the rooms and a general state of preservation below the expected.
After staying at the hotel for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, I contacted the reception to report my dissatisfaction and check the possibility of a solution, such as room change or cancellation of the accommodation. However, I was informed that none of these alternatives would be possible. Apart from the lack of solution, the reception staff showed little concern with the situation. At no time we felt welcomed and, during the attendance, there were comments in deboche tone. It is worth noting that we kept a respectful attitude throughout the conversation, only exposed our dissatisfaction and sought to understand what options the hotel could offer.
In the absence of any attempts to resolve the problem and considering that the accommodation did not correspond to what was announced, I decided to leave the hotel without using the accommodation.
My experience was quite negative. In addition to the lack of comfort, I felt a lack of professionalism, empathy and commitment to the client. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this hotel.

Location
Although the hotel is located in a central region of easy travel to almost all tourist sites, the difficulty is not the lack of parking, pq as I said, it is possible to do almost tdo on foot, but the fact of being bad managed to stop the car to take out the luggage...we gave 3 turns, until releasing a vacancy in front of the hotel, q are few and mto crowded, after all it is one of the main streets, mto busy and in the center of Petropolis.
There is a nearby parking 24 hs, with a value of $40,00, but we got for $35,00
We stayed in room 301, triple, with conjoined room. Very spacious, air conditioning, table with 2 chairs, fridge bar and an immense window, the q is good for the luminosity and ventilation, has curtain blackout.The view is to main street and very nice
The bathroom is a little tight and could be placed shelf inside the box,to put shampoo, soap
As it is an old building, some rooms are large with small bathroom and other smaller rooms, with more spacious bathroom
The cleanliness of the room leaves a little to be desired, pq in the places not visible, lack a better cleanliness, under the beds, behind the door...
Although the hotel is mto old and have a bit of mould smell in the hallways (carpet, wood) in the room has no such smell and there is no clothes in the wardrobes, because they use mould-proof
The morning coffee is good, with a good start time...but in the days of little movement, it does not work in the self service system and instead the guest fills a sheet with the items q wants at breakfast...not like mto, but in a few days was the q happened, of 6 days q we stayed, 3 were in this scheme
The breakfast staff are excellent and served us mto well every day
Finally a good cost/benefit/localization ratio
