Amazon Gero Tours ,we spent a lovely night there
I and my family arrived in Itacare very late in the night as we did not get enough rooms
At Che Lagarto Hostel and We rented a room to my son there ,the person at the reception desk
Was very nice to us my son loved the place , as have already visited many international hostels I really trusted to leave my son there, next morning we my wife went to meet my son there and
Had the opportunity to meet a very friendly French person and his wife,i think a Brazilian lady ( Mrs. Lidia very friendly and professional and honest as she sent the recharger of my tablet to
Salvador free. Of cost

Great hostel for great times
Stayed at hostel for 4 nights, and would've stayed longer if it wasn't for my pesky flight back to Europe!
It's about 5-10min walk to beaches, and 5min to the main street where you'll normally see the same crowd you've seen on the beach and in other parts of Bahia. The single room I had was simple, yet comfortable with aircon. The common area had a PC and decent Wi-Fi speed. Plenty of supermarkets, shops and cafes nearby. Breakfast at the hostel sometimes lacked imagination and choice, otherwise all else was great.
Staff was very helpful, and insightful - one of the things I will miss most!
Would definitely recommend staying here - even long term if you have that privilege.

Nice breakfast and good staff
The hostel has good location. It is within walking distance from the bus terminal. Beach and many restaurants were also within short walk distance.
There was a dining area, smallish living room/reception area with TV, and another room with computer and additional seating. The hostel had a nice exterior. The front part of the hostel was dated. My dorm was fairly large, not very light and dated. It had a ceiling fan, parquet floor, wardrobe, only a couple of “lockers”, window and private bathroom. The “lockers” were just smallish boxes that were not attached to anything and could be carried anywhere. They were not clean inside. The bathroom was dark, fully tiled and had musty smell. Shower had electric hot water heater.
My dorm and the entire hostel were generally clean.
Wi-Fi was good and reached my dorm as well. Breakfast was above average, very nice and a the highlight of this hostel.
The staff was very nice, hospitable and helpful.
Rooms in the back of the hostel looked brighter and updated.

The hostel was good located at walking distance in between the city centre and the beach.
The hostel was always clean and the rooms were big and confortable.
My friend from Egypt and me had a great time there. It was so good that we decide to stay longer. There are too many things to do in Itacare (rafting, many beaches and waterfalls).
I would like to thank Itacare Hostel for the excellent hospitality and to thank in particular Lidia for her hard work and concern in several occasions: my friend forgot his watch when we left and he got it back. I needed an invoice for my stay in Itacare Hostel and I got it in less than an hour thanks to Lidia!!! In fact, my credit card was skimed (copied) in a cash machine in Salvador de Bahia airport as soon as I arrived. After two days, I got fraudulent withdrawals from cash points made with my secret pin number. When I came back to Madrid from my vacation, I did the necessary with my bank but I received a negative resolution. Now the solution is to prove with bills and invoices that I wasn't in Salvador but in Itacare....and hope that it'll work!!! Nevertheless, I hope to go back again to Itacare as you have it all there! Excelente
A localização da Pousada é ótima, bem pertinho de tudo. Fomos muito bem atendidos pelos funcionários, em especial pelo gerente Osório que foi muito atencioso! Os quartos estavam limpos e confortáveis!
