Car parking is free

A wonderful pension run by family, very good breakfast, close to airport, opposite to tram station, the big plus they have 2 parking, free away from downtown headache, the only point is that during check in the open front door on time around 3pm, before that if you call or ring bell, nobody will respond, near by a wonderful mall, and next street a petrol station.

Simple stay at the edge of Vienna

friendly staff (even borrowed an umbrella ;)
basic pension far out from the city, but with public transportation in front of the house;
takes quite some time and study to reach the city center, and when returning from the centre take care which bus you take (same number can go towards different final destinations); very simple breakfast, especially if staying for a week

WRONG INFORMATION, MEDIOCRE HOTEL

How Waltraud Freud can recommend a hotel she hasn't stayed in, I don't understand. When I phoned from overseas to book a room, I was told it is not far from the airport, and as there is no public transportation, I should take a taxi. It should not be more than €10, I was told. It was €25!
The management is decidedly unpleasant, but that might be understandable, due to the patronage of the hotel, which consists mostly of blue collar and transiting agents.
It is also very expensive considering what you get.
I will not stay there on my next visit to Vienna.

Most unhelpful

We reserved a double room. When we got to the hotel were given a room where only one bed was made. We were then given a room in the basement.
There was no internet connection.
As we were booked for two nights, next morning I asked to be relocated to another room, but was met with the most unfriendly response that all rooms were taken.
Do not go to this hotel if you want to be treated respectfully.

short stay

we took a roof room with breakfast, the room was rather clean, and bathroom ok, the breakfast was poor, just few cereals and 2 type of salamy and thats all. It was a budget stay, no more than thad. I was in june 2010.
