Don't pass this guesthouse/hotel by.

Good location on the out skirts of Graz, we used it for the F1race. Good parking. Staff really helpful Marcus speaks perfect English. Food excellent. Rooms could be out of a 3 to 4 Star Hotel all new.
They call it a guesthouse, I would class it a hotel.
Short taxis ride to the centre of town.

Quality does not fit, price does not fit!

We went to the restaurant twice and were bitterly disappointed. Neither is it delicious Styrian cuisine, nor are the prices somehow reasonable. kernel oil extra, side dishes extra etc. two people, a backhendl 100 Euro!!??? This is unacceptable to us. First chance, second chance, for us that was it! Granz can do other things!!!

Very simple inn with restaurant prices

Totally overpriced inn! Don't know of any inn that has raised prices like this in recent years. In addition, the portions are getting smaller and smaller. Something's going wrong here. Farmer's host plate doubled from 29.60 to almost 60 euros. In addition, instead of beef hoof steak, Bernese sausages are now on it. Dessert prices totally off and also not good quality.

Only average restaurant

We came here for dinner and I had beef - it was only average quality. The side dishes were also not too exciting.
However the outdoor seating is really nice in the summer.
Nevertheless it seems to be one of the better Wirtshaus here in the area - the other ones are even worse.

Straßenlärm..

Das Hotel hat im Umkreis von 5 Gehminuten zwei Busstationen, die auch u.a. in die Innenstadt (ca 30 Min) führen. Die Busse gehen (wochentags) alle 15 Minuten. Leider verläuft einen Buslinie direkt vorm Hotel. Von 5 - 22 Uhr ist Verkehrslärm vorprogrammiert, da sich direkt vorm Hotel auch eine Ampelkreuzung befindet und die Lenker die Kreuzung oftmals für den Start bei der Formel 1-Strecke halten.
Des weiteren ist die Straße an der das Hotel liegt eine Verbindung zwischen zwei stark befahrenen Straßen und die Zimmer sind Richtung Straße ausgelegt.
Wenn man also eher in einer ruhigen Gegend wohnt und den Lärm nicht gewohnt ist, lädt selbst das weiche Bett nicht zum Schlafen ein.
Da es keine Klimaanlage gibt - es wird ein kleiner Ventilator ins Zimmer gestellt - und man bei der Hitze das Fenster auf Grund des Lärms nicht öffnen kann, wird das Schlafen schnell ungemütlich.
Die Familie, die das Hotel betreibt besitz einen Hund. Dieser Golden Retriever(?) hält sich gerne im Rezeptionsbereich auf. Er bellt zwar höchstens, aber wenn man vor Hunden Angst hat, ist es absolut ungut jedes Mal über den Hund rüber steigen zu müssen, damit man hinaus/zurück ins Zimmer kommt.
Die Hälfte der Zimmer befindet sich im Obergeschoss - leider gibt es keinen Lift und man darf die Koffer die Stiegen hinaufschleppen.
Der Kanalisationsgeruch der an regnerisch/heißen Tagen ins Zimmer gedrückt wird ist nicht unbedingt angenehm...
Das gratis WLAN hat jedoch ausgezeichnet funktioniert.
