Beautiful Southern Styria

Wonderful time out at the excellent Weinlandhof in Gamlitz! Excellent cuisine, a breakfast buffet that is second to none, a dreamlike pool area, great opportunities for cycling and stopping for a bite to eat - what more could you want?

A Gem in Gamlitz

What a beautiful hotel in a charming small town. Our room turned out to be a suite with a beautiful balcony overlooking a small river. I think every room had a beautiful view. The hotel itself has all the amenities of a resort, huge pool, hot tub, tennis courts, and an activity park.along the river.
However, on top of all these positives, is a fabulous restaurant. The owner/ chef, is very talented and much of what they serve is local and made in house, including jams. Eating gluten free was no problem. Service was excellent. In fact, they arranged for our servers to be able to speak English. The hotel proprietors were very welcoming and attentive. It was a perfect stay!

Attractive hotel in the centre of Gamlitz

We were looking for a hotel in southern Styria relatively spontaneously for a holiday.
We really liked the Weinlandhof, the Quality of food was very good. The breakfast buffet left almost nothing to be desired, and the food in the evening (we ate once from the menu) was also very good. The room was very welcoming and pleasant, partly because we had a balcony facing the garden. The spa area was very appealing thanks to the newly opened sauna (which opens a bit late) and the pool. The older part is a bit small, especially if the weather is bad and several want to use it. All in all we had a pleasant and relaxing stay at the Weinlandhof

Too expensive for offered service, very rude owner

Very good newly furnished rooms with impeccable high quality mattresses. For a luxury hotel, the breakfast and service was more than deficient. The boss, who took care of the breakfast service in the morning, became very unfriendly when we wanted to order a fresh scrambled eggs. Your wording: “YOU really want ME to go to the kitchen for YOU to prepare them a fresh scrambled egg!!” After some discussions she brought us the supposedly freshly fried scrambled egg, which tasted just as cheap (ready-made egg mixture from the bag?) as the buffet. The wellness area advertised is only open for a few hours in the late afternoon. I can't recommend this hotel for the high price of the night

High prices - low performance

After a long journey and an urgent search for accommodation in the Hotel Weinland
Landed.
For an overnight stay from 23.50hrs with breakfast a very expensive affair.
Breakfast quality moderate, desire for fresh scrambled eggs only complied in a non-hospitable tone of the owner.
Friendliness of the breakfast staff leaves much to be desired.
Sauna area (from 4pm) or other opportunities for relaxation were not offered.
I would not visit this hotel again, let alone recommend it to others.
