I found my happy place.
I booked Bonza View BnB whilst sitting in an expensive hotel room in the city. I have been struggling mentally & just wanted somewhere special. The city was not for me.
As i booked, I requested an earlier check in time which with speedy response, i recieved. Finding it was a tad tricky, but so are all hidden gems. It was down the end of a narrow road (like most roads in the Dandenongs). My husband & I entered our room (#1) & to our surprise, it was breathtaking. Bright happy rooms with an incredible view, & serene music playing. We ran around like children excited to see what the place had to offer. Kitchen was nice with microwave and stove top, plunger coffee was supplied - Heck yes!!! & then we looked in the fridge and to our surprise, the owners really understand the meaning of breakfast included! We were stoked! Fresh bacon, eggs, bread, butter, milk and more! But wait!! There were Tim Tams!!!! TIM TAMS!!!!! Coffee & Tim tams slammers with a view! I actually felt spoilt! I look at my husband, & i haven't seen him smile like that in a little while! The amenities were easy to use, clear instructions for spa - which was pre heated!! The room was older fashioned with a cozy & warm feel. Lunch was a very short walk to a magnificent cafe on the corner. We ordered a pizza for dinner from one of the brochures the owners had left out which was very helpful. Late at night, we finally had a spa, & we were very happy with the hot temperature & with how quiet the jets were! We could enjoy the quiet intimate setting without feeling like noisy neighbours! We then relaxed on the comfy lounge & watched some tv. We really enjoyed all of the little things! The bed was comfortable, the hand soap & body wash was lovely, there was a drop toilet that was incredibly clean & had no offensive smells (unlike the unclean city toilet that splashes back lol). We had an incredible time & felt happier than ever. We found our little haven & we will be back. Thank you so much!

Disgusting
absolutely disgusting dirty old apartment. Holes in walls paint on bedsheets dirty kitchen and utensils. Hole in the ground composting toilet that reeked of sewerage in our rooms and outside in foyer. Broken table on outdoor verandah and very old blow up dirty spa that looked like it would electrocute you if you got in it. Was promised amazing views that you couldn't see properly out of filthy windows. Sat on couch broke out in an itchy rash all.over. tried to voice concerns with owner was blown off told there's nothing wrong with a composting toilet. Was not told any of this when we booked. Will never go near the place again.

Expected more
No doubt the best views I've ever seen but the apartments need some TLC. The hot tub was great and we loved feeding the cockatoos. Very overpriced for what you get. Breakfast is a carton of eggs and some bacon in the fridge and a loaf of cheap bread - expected more.

Midweek getaway
My Hubby and I booked in for 2 nights, for his 60th Birthday. Wow the view day and night was breathtaking, especially sitting in the spa with a drink, so relaxing. But it wasn’t all good unfortunately. The little things that matter were missing especially being projected as a 4.5 star B&B. On first impression it was neat and tidy. Cobwebs, dust and spiders then become quite noticeable. A distinct lack of attention to detail being old tea bags, open sugar and insufficient coffee for two days. Pulled a lump of gunk out of the spa filter. Not sure how many other we were bathing with. The last straw was when we could see many mosquitoes through out just prior to intending to bed down. Two hours later all looked good. Awoke at 4.30 this morning after being eaten alive. Time to pack up and leave just on day break. Mossies probably got in via holes in the ceiling. Didn’t bother with the mossie net in the bed room due to a hole in it. No bug spray not to mention tissues or bin liners. The later “are hard to get since the Supermarkets ceased plastic bags”. This place has heaps of potential and would be well with the money but is in dire need of a freshen up. Things seem to break or wear out and don’t get actioned. Room not serviced daily as advertised. Won’t recommend to anyone and definitely won’t be back. Very disappointed.

Needs some TLC
The views are spectacular and host very welcoming. Breakfast and Tim Tams were great.
We just felt that the place needed a good clean and paint.
Just because the flower pot ashtray is big doesn’t mean it can’t be cleaned when only 1/4 full.
The large dust collector over the bed was more painful than romantic. The bed sheets were clean but very tired. Target have sheet and doona sets for very small $$. Time to update!
The carpet is in dire need of a steam clean.
Just a few changes and this place would be awesome.
