Best Restaurant in Wolf

Friendly atmosphere and amazing service. We dined here 3 times on a week's holiday. Food is absolutely amazing which is why returned 3 times. Could not fault this restaurant at all. Freshly prepared beautiful food and amazing value for money. Cosy atmosphere as well. I would give this 10/10.

Underground beverage prices

Sunday night in Wolf. Wolfshof is the only open restaurant in the village. We were hungry. Looking at the menu makes you want more. With the drinks menu then the shock. 0,7l mineral water 6,80€, 0,5l bitburger 6,80€! That's what I call a rip-off. Food was good, but for the price quantity expandable. Operators made a frustrated (corona?) Impression. Schade.

Schnitzel

We stayed in Wolf and visited the Wolfshof Restaurant three times during our stay. The restaurant atmosphere and decor are typically 'old school' German. The quality and quantity of food is enough to satisfy anyone and the service is unhurried and could not be faulted. The schnitzels were the best we tasted during our weeks stay in the area.

The appartment we stayed in is old and needs a could clean

Paid 555 euro for 3 nights for 3 people breakfast included. That's 62 euros per person or 123 euros for a couple. A hotel that was nicer, only a few meters further, had double rooms for 70 euros (same furniture as this one) and 90 euros (renovated modern room) breakfast included, so this hotel is really expensive. The appartment needed a good clean, it was not cleaned thoroughly. The kitchen and bathroom date from the seventies. The button to put on the fridge is broken off, You hurt Your fingers if You want to put on the fridge. The light near the sink/mirror in the bathroom didn't work, only light on the ceiling. To use the mirror it was to dark in the bathroom. The shower heads from the shower and bath were so calcified the water sprayed around but nearly down, if You took a shower You hardly felt water on You. There was a lot of tableware, pots and pans and devices in the kitchen but no dish cloth or kitchen towels. If You wanted to wash for instance glasses or tableware You had to use Your hands to wash and kitchen paper to dry. You could not clean something Yourself because there were nog cloths available. The oven didn't work. The bedrooms had carpet on the floor with strange lumps under it??? Strange uneven surface to walk on. The breakfast was the same everyday except on Monday: no fruit on Monday. On Saturday and Sunday we got strawberries and canned peaches. Breakfast was ok but not outstanding. Owners are not so hospitable and welcoming. We felt we paid way to much here, a bit of a rip-off.

Quaint & quirky

Typical German retro decor combined with outstanding hospitality.
The hotel-restaurant is set in a tiny village surrounded by vineyards overlooked by the ruins of an ancient monastery. Tucked in the bend of the winding river Mosel.
We arrived late and they still served food. Having finished our excellent schnitzel we went up to the room and we're back in the 70's, both style and lack of tv channels added to the charm of chilling out in the old school way. Our room nbr 5 has a little balcony with a view of the surrounding hills.
Breakfast was brilliant with enough food on the table to feed a family of 4!
In the little village are also a couple of other places to eat and drink making this place a good base to explore the area.
