Great place and wonderful location.

Our family of ten stayed here for a night. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. It's a great location for the Black Forest. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food and the service was amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer.

I can't recommend this hotel.

The room was nice with nice views of a creek. Unfortunately, many things left to be desired: Mold in the bathroom, dust, dirty windows, cobwebs in the bathroom and bedroom, no toothbrush glass, tables in the garden dirty, were also not cleaned when guests took their seats there, the breakfast buffet was not followed up when something went out, half board definitely not book - there is only pasta or pizza, no real main course. Price-performance is not right here.

Mixed experience

Nice hotels, modern facilities, friendly hosts. Based on photos, we expected a location in the middle of the nature, however the hotel is rather close to a busy and rather noisy road. Probably due to Covid, there were not enough tables for dinner. Quite expensive (might be a post-Covid price).

Beatrice and Mario were the perfect hosts making this one of our best stays!

The included breakfast was wonderful with a wide variety of food. We had our dinner meal in the restaurant the first night and it was delicious, well presented and one of the best we have had in Germany. It was so good we decided to eat there on our second night. We were not disappointed with another wonderful meal. Mario who is the chef is very talented and exceptional. Not only are the meals uniquely created, they are artfully plated and the flavors are memorable!
Beatrice was so helpful from the moment we checked in and made us feel very comfortable with her warmth. Inselklause is in the country yet only a short drive to Triberg. This gave us the feeling of peaceful solitude in the beauty of the countryside. We would have enjoyed staying longer. I would recommend both the restaurant and the hotel without any hesitation!

Gem in the Heart of the Black Forest

Remarkably quiet, comfortable, updated, and modern amenities in this gem of a rustic setting. Proprietors were great. Location on a stream with meadow-like views made the stay and experience fantastic.
