amazing family operated hotel - they care for you !

This family run hotel which may look a bit old fashioned is an amazing place which exceptional service and great spotless rooms and its quiet. I had to leave a big suitcase there to attend a smaller flight in Europe. They were so kind to store the suitcase for me and even had moved it to an exit door before i came back to pick it up. so friendly and caring! I know much more expensive hotels without this warm and welcoming service. I truly recommend this place and I booked it randomly for a business trip. what a gem !

Discrimination

Discrimination
After making a reservation request by phone, I wanted to view the room in advance on the same day, which was only accepted reluctantly and with a wrinkled nose by the young boss Sven Gensert. After viewing the very, very small single room, which cost €89, together, the hotel door was loudly slammed in my face as I was leaving the stairwell with a malicious gesture (middle finger) and swear words, so that I was forced to use the back exit.
This highly neurotic boss, who reacts so abusively and discriminatorily to a completely normal request, is dangerous and is damaging the entire hotel industry.

Lieber Herr Kritzinger,
Sie stellen hier einige Dinge bewusst unwahr dar.
- Es wurde keine Anfrage gestellt, sondern ein Zimmer verbindlich und schriftlich von Ihnen gebucht.
- Sie wollten sich vor Ort das Zimmer ansehen (Zitat: "Ich kaufe doch nicht die Katze im Sack"), obwohl Sie bereits in der Vergangenheit im identischen Zimmer übernachteten.
- Mein Name ist nicht Sven, sondern Steven -- siehe unsere Buchungsbestätigung.
- Sie fragten nach einem "Holzbrett, das man unter die Matratze legen soll". Was auch immer es damit auf sich hatte. Ich kam mir -- mehrfach -- von Ihnen veralbert wurde, weswegen Sie des Hauses verwiesen wurden.
- Es fielen beim Herausbegleiten weder Schimpfworte noch wurden Ihnen "böswillige Gesten" gezeigt. Die Haustür lässt sich überhaupt nicht zuschlagen.
- Wer anderen Neurosen unterstellt, sollte sich eventuell zuerst an die eigene Nase fassen.
Dass Sie uns bzw. mich persönlich im Internet anonym bewerten, rundet den Gesamteindruck, den man von Ihnen haben darf, ab.

Great stopover

Slightly elevated, located just outside the village. Room spacious, somewhat dated. Bed quite hard, small bathroom. Good WiFi. Restaurant excellent, as very common in Germany. Staff correct but a bit distant......

very good

Nice and comfortable place, 20 km distance from the airport and 45 from the mid of the city.
Suggested to those who need the quite of the forest just outside the city.
Good restaurant and breakfast, receptionists and waiters polite and ready to help you in case of need.

Frumpy but nice

I know I'll struggle to sleep as it's a room with typical German bed/bedding and the bathroom fan stays on for 5mins (might have something to do with a pan style loo - stinky) but wifi is strong and I've just returned from a wonderful meal.
Baby leaf salad and lardons with a creamy dressing and pumpkin oil. For mains a rump steak beautifully cooked and tender with a pungent pepper sauce and spätzle (a German pasta). Washed down with a wonderfully bitter local Pilsner.
It's another old fashioned hotel but, you know what, nice!
