Never again

Arrival 15:00 Whit Monday 2025, one night/breakfast booked for 123,- €. Departure the same evening 21:00, length of stay in the room 5 minutes, In between family visit. Unfortunately already paid at check in without having seen the room. Old decor can have charm, but was not the case here. The room so unkempt and the bathroom downright dirty that you didn't want to use either bed or toilet. I'd rather spend 4 hours in the car at night going home and write off the money as tuition... Checkout was not possible as no staff on site, neither in the hotel nor in the restaurant, so key card to the bed room 308 and home. The next day the operator explained the facts, who then accused me of cowardice in saying this to her face and described it as typical "Berliner Schnute" and hung it up. The employee to whom I had first described the facts on the phone, on the other hand, appeared quite empathetic and affected. Enough has already been written about Mrs Engel - unkind and outrageous
Conclusion: never again lake view Mühbrook

Friendly staff :).
We stayed one night. The room was fine and clean. The food was good. Location is nice and quiet.

Quiet hotel with great service

The hotel is very quiet on the lake. The room was spacious. The equipment is already a bit old. Mrs Engel and her entire family have made the short break an experience. We were taken care of with excellent food and Sevice.
We can recommend the hotel.

Never again : those responsible have never heard of customer service despite all the negative reviews they have already received on the subject.
For my 87-year-old and seriously ill father and I we had ordered a table and were looking forward to an Easter brunch.
We had announced the rollator and asked for a table with a nice view, after all, the house is on the lake.
We got a little table in the middle of a station-like hall, 80 years ambience included, with the ugliest curtains I've seen in the last 20 years.
Thoughtful that my father would never make it to the toilet with his rollator, as the tight seating simply did not allow it, I asked for a table at the edge, of which there were several free ones. The answer was no, the senior chef distributing the coffee pots immediately became loud and uncomfortable. The usher had already boasted that she had not had disabled toilets for 117 years.
It is a real shame such inhuman behaviour, the worn 80 years of decoration and the cramming of paying guests, every 30 seconds you had a different most valued on your face, as people somehow had to fight their way to the buffet.
The only positive was the food, even if it took 5 attempts for a scrambled egg.
